The Coach House is in Dirkie Uys street which runs parallel to the Main Street- about 300m from the centre of town. The best things about The Coach House are the wonderful staff, location, breakfast and value for money. The room was serviced daily and our laundry taken care of.We loved our time with Sharon and Charlie and would stay there again. Mini gripe? The ceiling in the shower needs a paint job.

what a nice place in the middle of this beautiful wine region. The hosts were super friendly, Charlie even drove me around in his Morris convertible to wine tastings, unforgettable! He also picked me up in CPT and dropped me at the airport for a very reasonable rate. Sharon is such a great host, accommodating all requests in a very relaxed and easy going way. Can't wait to get back!

We were on a 3 day winelands tour and were booked in here by Luhambo Tours. They couldn't have chosen a better place for us to stay in this delightful town.

We highly recommend it as It is conveniently sited, well maintained, user friendly and comfortable.

Previous reviews have said it all so it just remains to say thank you to Sharon and her husband and staff, not forgetting the friendly Smiley, for a great enjoyable stay.

Loved this guest house as everyone was so friendly! Even the dog was called Smiley! It was pouring with rain when we got there but our room was ready early so we could check in. The room was spacious and comfy. The garden and pool looked nice but we didn't have the weather to use it. Breakfasts were lovely and Sharon and her staff cooked to order if you wanted a cooked breakfast. There were also croissants, fruit and cereals. We went on the wine tram tour which was fun but spoiled a bit by a rowdy drunken group but that wasn't the tram people's fault. It was a good way to spend a cloudy damp day, had to ease up on the wine though as it was going to my head! Such a shame to pour it away! Had a nice meal at the Rickety Bridge for lunch. Franschhoek was pretty dead in the evenings but we had the best steak ever at The Grillroom, so tender and juicy. really think they should change the name to something more interesting as the food was amazing and the restaurant itself was so cosy and classy. To sum up, would definitely choose this guest house again!!

This is a fabulous B&B close to the main town centre. Clean, spacious and fantastic hosts. Breakfast was great including cooked English if desired. The little town is picturesque and amazing wine farms all around. Could not have wished for more.

My parents stayed in one of the outside rooms and I stayed in another - nice and quiet and private from the main house.
Breakfast was good and my parents had a great time chatting and having a drink or two with the owner and his partner.
The street is very central but one back from the main road, so it's nice and quiet.
Would definitely recommend it.

We decided to stay here on our short visit thru the winelands, we are so pleased we selected this place.
We stayed in the upstairs room with a huge balcony. We don't know what the other rooms are like, there are 7 in total, but the room we had was perfect for us.
The Coach house is only a short walk to the main street but is very quiet.
The room is nicely furnished with a modern ambience that fits perfectly with the character of the old house. The french doors open onto the blacony.
Only a small dissapointment it would be nice to have an additional comfortable chair in the bedroom. Wifi is provided and worked well.
The hosts, and in particular Sharon , are very helpful and can advise on all Franschoek's attractions.
Breakfast is served in the dining room and is cooked to order.
Finally it is excellent value for money.

Room Tip: Upstairs room with balcony.
