We had out wedding at LPD in march 2014 and stayed for 2 nights.
The location is amazing, located at the end of Franschhoek, featuring 9 Bungalows with 11 rooms, a restaurant/cafe, a restyled barn for events, several ponds/dams, wine- and olive farms and and and.
All rooms are individually designed and furnished and are spacious, clean and have lots of personalized touches. Loved the free port in every room.

From the run up to the wedding and all the help that their resident event coordinator Marie-Louise provided us, to the amazing chef, the friendly staff, their tame rooster and the most beautiful golden retrievers, the perfect food and the incredible setting really made our day.

Room Tip: Room 1, 7 and 8 are the most spacious ones, with 7/8 being detached at the small lower dam.

Our suite was a cottage in the grounds of La Petite Dauphine - it felt just like a charming gite set in vineyards and olive trees. We had two pools to choose from and grounds to wander through and relax in. The suite was beautifully decorated and well appointed with everything you would need for a stay. It might have been helpful for the bar to have smaller bottles of wine rather than the 75cl versions. The bed was very comfortable except for the mattress cover which had a plastic backing and made us feel really hot and sticky at night. Breakfast was good but the fruit platter was a bit disappointing and basic. Dinner in the main restaurant was excellent - steak cooked to perfection and delicious wines to go with it all set in a exquisitely furnished barn. The staff were very helpful but seemed a bit more reserved and very formal compared to many of the others we encountered. Close to Franschhoek which was a delight.

Room Tip: All are great - we had a detached suite number 3 - others are semis.

It was a great stay in this beautiful cottage to point out to anyone going to totally Winelands. Excellent level of care, one of the best breakfast that I have already proved, a very nice and cozy with rustic style room, and a very good location, close to downtown and also the wineries. See photos!!

A very tasteful property with wonderful ambience. Only a few minutes by car from the village so one can enjoy the best of the vibrance and the peace of the property. From the welcome to the amenities to the dining, everything was great and well worth the rates. There are so many little extra touches provided to make the stay a memorable one. 3 nights was just not enough!

Room Tip: Cottage No 6 has 2 bedrooms and very spacious and private in a delightful corner with squirrels play...

The Hotel is very tastefully created from an Olive and Fruit Farm using the various buildings to provide luxury cottages. You can walk or drive from your cottage to a central dining area outside or inside surrounded by mountains and lovely scenery. The breakfasts were excellent and we were entertained by the pet cockerel (Henrick) who mingled amongst the guests showing off. We had dinner in the converted barn on one evening which was excellent. Our cottage did not have a plunge pool nor was there a central pool. This would have been a good addition to sit out around in the late afternoon. An excellent well run establishment

Room Tip: Have a cottage with a plunge pool
