Great experience with all of the quality we expected plus more. A very professional establishment who understand how to look after guests with the minimum of fuss and intrusion. The room - Four Quarters - was very comfortable and having a fire made up for us in the room provided an added cosy feel against the Cape Winter. My tip - do not miss out of dinner at the Tasting Room!

Room Tip: Four Quarters rooms are both spacious and cosy. Having a fire in winter is definite bonus.

this inn is so romantic from the gardens to the pool and then the rooms! we had a suite overlooking the pool. spacious living room with large bedroom and bath. they had all the amenitites; port, wine, cheese, fudge, nuts, to start with. the hotel is located on the main street and of course, the restaurant is next door along with a small gallery shop. the staff was friendly and helpful. our daughter had a room off the garden along with her own private garden. breakfasts are bountiful and delicious. couldn't ask for a better spot.

Room Tip: all the beds are queen beds. ask for a suite , its heavenly

This secluded hotel nestles in beautiful gardens - a tranquil setting amidst the general buzz of Franschhoek. A comfortable bed,a spacious bathroom and good wifi contribute to the enjoyment of the stay. Breakfast can be taken in a vine-clad patio in a pretty garden. The cooked breakfast is delicious and made to order. The tropical fruit, scones, and granola are fantastic. In the evenings and on chilly mornings there is a warming fire in the grate on the patio.
Owing to an error, by the internet booking agency we were unable to have the room we had originally booked. As compensation by the hotel (it was no fault of theirs) we were given an extra night at no additional cost.
The 8/5 course tasting menu was very expensive and I personally would not recommend it, particularly as there are so many excellent restaurants in the area. The dining-room surroundings were anodyne and there was too much hyperbole given by the staff when introducing each dish e.g. a long narrative about a single langoustine languishing in a little sauce.

Le Quartier Francais an established favourite destination in the Cape Winelands village of Franschhoek, so ably run by owner Susan Huxter and her team, provides convenience, comfort, great dining and modern charm, with every facility one could wish for. Colouful individually decorated rooms and suites at this Relais & Chateaux member property with great concierge service and advice to travellers on lesser known attractions in this region is well received, Don't miss the adjacent art gallery iArt, an indoor and outdoor space with very interesting pieces next to the hotel's own small cinema 'The Screening Room'. A must too is their nearby restaurant for lunch - 'Bread & Wine' on Moreson Farm, great food and wine and a deli plus wine tasting and sales.

Room Tip: The Pool Suite is a spacious enclave with its own pretty verandah, garden and pool

Le Quartier Francais (LQF) was an amazing place for me and my wife to really start our honeymoon at. After spending our first day visiting several of the areas wineries our wine guide pulled up to LQF, the staff were waiting for our arrival and our amazing room (# 2) was a perfect oasis for us to recover from our days journey. The staff was unbelievably and that anything was asked was taking care of immediately. The food, where to start, is was simple the best food that my wife and I have ever had. To top it off the staff provided a brilliant turn- down services with nice little notes left for us and on our last night they lite our room with little candles. If you are visiting the SA winelands, Le Quartier Francais is the place to stay at.

The quality strikes you from the moment you walk through the front door. The decor is fun, colorful and very interesting. Every room in the hotel is decorated differently and it has quality finishing touches.

The professional staff all come across and well-trained and they all have that Cape friendliness. They bend over backwards to make you feel welcome. I felt like an absolute queen staying there - thank you Susan and all the staff!
