As you enter the town of Franschhoek, Main road becomes another road and as you drive on, you suddenly see the perfect centerpiece the Hugenot memorial. The whitish structure is in perfect contrast to the green lawns and mountain that makes a perfect backdrop. There is an iron plate with inscriptions on the memorial and you can enter the grounds once you bought tickets from the museum. The area is meticulously maintained and I appreciated that greatly.
