Lovely friendly hostess managing the B and B. Good breakfast. Very dark rooms with outdated decor. Awful dust collecting Curtains in bedroom and plastic flowers everywhere! TV reception hazy. Lounge area dark and old. Good location.

We had awonderful stay at the guesthouse. Alet and Elbie are very welcoming and laugh their way throughout life. The breakfast was totally homemade and delicieus.
Alet is a massage therapist and gave me a wonderful massage. Thans you ladies!!!

This property in Franschoek has been successfully converted into a guest house. The room we rented was open plan en suite, a first for us. It took a little gettingnused to, but it works as the shower and units are high and private.

Very nice located in Franschhoek.
The most important: the absolutely adorable hostess/owner of the guesthouse. A very helpfull and warm lady who makes you feel very welcome
and at home.Also a good price-quality value

Together with two friends we booked three rooms here. We were meeting friends for dinner at LQF and this property was conveniently located around the corner.

I wish we had looked elsewhere. First of all, the rooms have a toilet in the room, enclosed onky by a shower cabin, but completely open to the room on the top. Don't do a number 2 if you (or worse, your significant other) still needs to sleep in the room!

The same is true for the shower, which is located in the other corner of the room. I don't know who came up with this construction, but it's a complete no-no. Just buy some gypsum boards and construction wood and build some decent, enclosed and ventilated bathrooms!

The plumbing also makes frightening noises when someone else is using the shower or toilet. The waste water didn't come up in my shower, but it sounded as it wasn't far off. There is no airco in the room or anywhere else in the property. There is a single window that can be opened, but after closing the curtains I came across a note stuck to my mirror that closing the curtains was prohibited, they were there pnly for decoration. Really? Get real!

While we were away for dinner the owner provided herself access to our rooms and removed pillows. I find this to be an unwanted intrusion. There is no reason whatsoever for hotel staff to go into guest rooms in the evening.

The owner herself.. where to start. She forces herself onto the foreground.. Kind, friendly and hospitable is fine, but she is just obtrusive, and kind of creepy. Signs that you are not allowed to close the curtains don't help either. Nonsense rules instead of actual hospitality.

In the morning, we sat down for breakfast, just for some coffee. We had to be in Cape Town jn time to catch a boat and quite frankly just wanted to get out of there. The fact that we didn't want breakfast made the owner disappointed, maybe even almost angry. During our few minutes at the table there was someone at the door. She very rudely told the man to go away and closed the door without waiting for a response. To me, this showed her actual character. Maybe it could be best be described as a Jekyll and Hyde moment..

My advice:avoid at all cost! It's not cheap either. At this price level, or just 100 or 200 rands more, we had magnificent stays in top notch properties during this trip. You can do ao much better!

A lovely stay in the heart of franschoek close to all the fantastic restaurants. The guest house was lovely and host was kind, caring and happy to help and be friendly. There is a small pool which is great for cooling off in the hot weather at present. Breakfasts as made to order and plentiful.

The toilet is located directly in the room - with thin walls around but open at the top! This is disgusting, filthy and unhygienic! 34 degrees Celcius in the room and a fan: This will really send the coli bacilli rotating in the room!
