I am a big fan of the Shiraz and was excited to see where it came from but was sad to see small areas of empty fields where vines had been sacrificed for property speculation (now being replanted!) and also to learn from our guide that a lot of the grapes were coming in from other farms.
No doubt this is a very large and beautiful estate but, especially with the average Pique Nique, we felt an underlying pretentiousness.
However, it won't stop me drinking their Shiraz!
