Description: The Bar at LQF is a trendy, sociable space with a wood-burning fireplace. Outside seating creates the perfect spot to relax over a drink and watch the activity on the main street. Savour the signature craft gin cocktails or create your own G&T from the menu of delicious ingredients. There is also a selection of classic cocktails, some with a unique contemporary twist, as well as delicious non-alcoholic versions. The well-stocked bar also offers artisan beers and ciders, as well as a hand-picked selection of proudly South African wines.

We had tapas in the garden room before a film in Le Quartier's little cinema. It was a bit difficult to judge the size of the dishes when ordering, but it was all very tasty. The tapas can be eaten in the front bar/or outside. The cost of the film and glass of wine will be deducted from the supper bill. Good value, and usually unusual films on offer.

After a great lunch we just needed a light evening meal and this was the perfect place: a comfortable stylish bar, interesting course of tapas-like snacks, excellent choice of beer and wine. A good night.

Our guide, Shafiek Khans, brought us to this restaurant. It was memorable, our favorite restaurant in all of South Africa.

A classic, a stalwart. Well sited in Franschoek and the grand dame of the avenue. A bit dated, yes. Over priced, yes but we keep coming back to a place that feels like home to us.

This was by far the best meal we have ever had! If you are looking for an innovative and creative menu- this is the place! We had the 8 course surprise menu, and each course was exquisite. How do they come up with these food combinations? There is a genius at work behind the scenes....The gracious staff worked well together- very attentive, but not overbearing. This is not a stuffy restaurant. They made us feel so special by acknowledging our 30th anniversary- and remembering a food allergy that I had mentioned when I made the reservation. I can't wait to travel half way around the world again- just to eat here...
