Description: The Bar at LQF is a trendy, sociable space with a wood-burning fireplace. Outside seating creates the perfect spot to relax over a drink and watch the activity on the main street. Savour the signature craft gin cocktails or create your own G&T from the menu of delicious ingredients. There is also a selection of classic cocktails, some with a unique contemporary twist, as well as delicious non-alcoholic versions. The well-stocked bar also offers artisan beers and ciders, as well as a hand-picked selection of proudly South African wines.

Comfy and shady seating made this a great place to have a few drinks in the late afternoon outside. We tried a few cocktails and watched the world go by on the main street. Very relaxing and what vacations should be about! After getting hungry we sampled the menu and loved the sharing dishes. Blown away by the suckling pig crumble - you have to try this. All in all a great place to stop in.

As we were here on a trip planned at the last second we couldn't get in to the tasting room but ate twice in the lounge bar instead. They serve tapas style plates and with only 8/10 dishes on the menu we knew it was going to be good - it was AMAZING! This is a must-try if you are in town; the prices are also very reasonable so it's also worth more than one visit !

We went to the Lounge Bar for Tapas and Bubbly. It was a perfect night. Fab weather, brilliant, brilliant service. The food was awesome: Prawn Popcorn, Satays, Tempura Green Beans, Tandoori Quail. The dessert topped it off. Best Summer Berry tart I have ever eaten and I am trying to figure out how soon I can go back and have another without seeming greedy. I can never stay up late but a great night out meant I could enjoy the festivities at 12 O'Clock. Do visit - you will not be disappointed.

The best part of the meal was the waitstaff, although impossible to hear nor understand.
The wine paired with the meal was indigestible and the food was return for additional preparation.
The poultry was served raw, the fish course was served under the influence of the smell of a local fishing village and tasted worse.
The meal lasted over 3 hours and we couldn't wait for the evening to be over.
It it overpriced and ill prepared.and caused two people within my party to have diarrhea. Seriously.
Save your rand and visit other restaurants while in SA.

We had tapas in the garden room before a film in Le Quartier's little cinema. It was a bit difficult to judge the size of the dishes when ordering, but it was all very tasty. The tapas can be eaten in the front bar/or outside. The cost of the film and glass of wine will be deducted from the supper bill. Good value, and usually unusual films on offer.
