Just returned from a stay here. The scenery is great, staff is excellent and the location is good. We had issues with the wifi not working at all on our wing. We called to report it and they knew of the issue, but never resolved it. It was disappointing to have to go elsewhere to check email for some things that needed our attention. All in all, it was a good experience. We ate breakfast there and it was very good!!

Wow, we were bowled over! From the guard at the gate to the pianist. All were so friendly and efficient. The view is also great!
We had dinner and everybody at the table agreed that the food was great.
This is all round very good!

We spent three nights at the Mont Rochelle Hotel and could not have asked for a better experience. The staff were wonderful, from the Duty Managers to the Chamber Maids. The food for the evening meal was very, very good. The views across the valley were breath taking. If there was one fault, that would be that the WiFi was a bit slow and was not available throughout the hotel, but that's being very picky.

Tucked away in Franschhoek with fantastic views of the valley and vineyards, this is a truly lovely place to really unwind. The hotel is clean and well-appointed, and the staff are very warm and friendly - they're keen for you to enjoy your stay. Breakfast was served in the restarant which boasts the most amazing views of the valley - and dinner was excellent (great waitress). Everything is very good value for British travellers.

To really relax, I had two spa treatments (very good prices) and the head massage in particular was utterly marvellous: I slept peacefully for 2 hours afterwards. (This is not really a destination spa, more a number of treatment rooms and a sauna.) A dip in the outdoor pool was enough to bring me round before dinner!

The winery is not to be missed - the food at lunch was local and very good, well priced. Engaging staff; the tasting (4 wines) is free for hotel guests (inc. Miko Chardonnay 2009 - delicious). The winery tour doesn't reveal much about the process, but it's an interesting history (first black-owned winery in Africa).

Well-located for the main street in Franschhoek with its wineries and restaurants, galleries and boutiques, Mont Rochelle seduced me and I didn't want to leave!

Room Tip: Upper floor rooms or the 'new rooms' have the best views.

Stayed here for two nights on honeymoon and it was a huge mistake -we should have stayed longer!

The hotel is beautiful, clean tidy and comfortable
The staff are excellent - Patrick (bar), Abee (reception) and Jazelle (restaurant) were the nicest people we met in Franschhoek!
The room was large and spacious with twice daily towel changes and a turn down service.
Great facilities including a gym and swimming pool.
Breakast here was also very nice with specials daily.

All round the nicest hotel on our honeymoon and we will be back!
