Mont Rochelle will not disappoint. The hotel is set on a vineyard on the mountain and has amazing views from all directions. The staff is overly accommodating and the food was divine. I would highly recommend eating dinner at the in house restaurant. The wine tasting is quaint but delivers with high quality wine. A high recommend!

What can one say, when on those rare occasions when everything just falls into place. We had the pleasure of celebrating the dedication of a baby as well as celebrating the life of my brother in law Leon Malan with a special ceremony at Mont Rochelle with a planting of an olive tree. Completing the day with an awesome lunch, with views to get lost in overlooking the Franschoek valley. Without the amazing staff of Mont Rochelle this day would not have been possible, from the event co ordinator, to the guard at the gate, the welcome gentleman in the car park the, the waiters and all in the kitchen who were part of a sublime meal. Quality of service, excellent, the views, the decor, the surrounds, being with loved ones,,, a day lost in paradise. Mont Rochelle highly recommended.. Will return without a doubt.

We stayed over New Year in this beautiful place and had a wonderful time. You feel totally at home and duly pampered throughout your stay. We had an amazing suite with views over the mountains and wine fields a large sitting area and large bathroom.
The atmosphere was so nice and relaxed that the New Years party felt like old friends coming together even though we all had just met. The breakfast is superb with everything from freshly baked bread to salmon and steak with bubbles of course.
Dinners in both restaurants are very good especially in the fine dining where the dining is accompanied by a wonderful pianist.
The staff is highly attentive and will accommodate your every wish during your stay

Only stayed one night arrived late at night after safari in ulusaba. Reception was helpful in directing us to a restaurant as theirs shuts at 9pm on our way in near stellenbosch that was open called Delaire graaf which is stunning - we just got in before they shut so be aware if late travelling in the wine lands dinner can be difficult to get. Reception was very friendly on our late arrival 11ish and very efficient. Rooms were very comfortable esp the bed and view out of window was glorious looking at vineyards, valley and mountains. Breakfast was good on terrace. Had free tour of the small cellar at the wine tasting centre. The chap was a bit off hand at first showing us around but soon warmed up and was friendly informative and spent time with us including at tasting. Franshoek is delightful so after moving onto cape town we drove back to the area.

This hotel is set in paradise - vineyards, rolling hills - absolutely beautiful. We arrived and were immediately offered a glass of wine - great start. The room was beautiful. The restaurant is absolutely superb - excellent food and service and a pianist. We had spa treatments which were reasonably priced and very relaxing. The tour of the winery on-site was very nice.
The Wi-Fi was working in the bar area and when we were in our room I'd rather admire the view than be reading e-mails. All the staff were very helpful and there was no problem getting a lift into town for a small price - better than walking in the pitch dark.

Just returned from a stay here. The scenery is great, staff is excellent and the location is good. We had issues with the wifi not working at all on our wing. We called to report it and they knew of the issue, but never resolved it. It was disappointing to have to go elsewhere to check email for some things that needed our attention. All in all, it was a good experience. We ate breakfast there and it was very good!!
