My wife and I stayed here in early February 2014. We were booked into the Twyfeling B suite part of the main house and found the rooms superb: well appointed and tastefully so. Breakfast by the pool was magnificent and catered for all tastes from light continental to the Full South African cooked meal. There is a complimentary bar and laundry service. Hazel is very attentive and informative about local places to go and the tips on restaurants / wine farms provided by Katherine & Arthur, the proprietors, were invaluable.
An up market boutique hotel which represented good value for money.

Academie Street really is as excellent as everyone else has said. We stayed in Gelatenheid which is a perfect base from which to enjoy Franschhoek. Arthur, Catherine, Hazel and the rest of the team are so welcoming and helpful that you instantly feel at home. The most relaxing holiday we have ever had, we cannot recommend it highly enough. Thank you everyone, hopefully we will be back!

Our three-night stay was extremely enjoyable. Everything about our stay was excellent. We'd booked Oortuiging which had two ensuite bedrooms. The accommodation was extremely attractive and comfortable, very well equipped and spacious. The breakfasts in the garden were delightful and provided lots of options. The staff were all very helpful, friendly and attentive. In particular, Hazel was very welcoming and helpful in providing tips on places to eat and visit. Overall, a truly wonderful stay.
