Small, boutique hotel up your street? The last word wastes no opportunity to make you feel entirely pampered and spoilt. When we arrived they had already booked us a table somewhere ( le bon vivant) and were greeted by the friendliest faces in South Africa. After our dinner we returned to...well, book a room there and see. Wouldn't want to spoil the surprise.

We chose this accommodation based on the Trip Advisor reviews. Within short walking distance to the restaurants and excellent shopping, it is ideally located. Although on the main road the accommodation is quiet and private. The king room we stayed in was well laid out with full bath and separate shower, all part of one room but that was no issue. Conrad, Franklin and the staff are very dedicated to ensuring their guests have a very comfortable stay with them and provide a number of extras including a lovely breakfast. Complimentary drinks and a free mini bar were nice touches as were the afternoon tea and desserts left in your room whilst you were out having dinner. Would definitely recommend as a place to stay and with only 6 rooms would be ideal to book out for a group.

We spent two nights here to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. It was the perfect choice. At the end of the main street running through Franschoek, it is in walking distance to everything this delightful little town offers. The room was tastefully decorated, bed comfortable and the en-suite totally luxurious (great double bath and large shower). There was also a private patio with access to the small swimming pool. The service was exceptional and we were delighted with candles and bubbly on the evening of our anniversary. Such a nice touch.
Taking advantage of the half pice offer for April made this usually extravagantly priced hotel wonderful value. Our thanks to Conrad, Annie in housekeeping and the kitchen crew who fed us fantastic breakfasts each morning.

Room Tip: Room 1 has exceptional privacy while still having access to the pool.

Stayed the nights at the start of my South African adventure. Great beginning! Lovely intimate hotel. Superb location. Stunning food and staff who really cared. Franschhoek is a wonderful little town surrounded by great vineyards and scenery. This hotel must rank as one of the bt in the area. The tasting menu and the wines that went with the meal were brilliant. Again great memories.

Room Tip: Room 1. Lovely views and close to reception.

My husband had booked this hotel the 'old fashioned way', ie briefly checked out Tripadvisor and then just booked on the telephone. So we had not seen the web site and didnt have any particular expectations - well apart from knowing that SAR4500 would mean we could expect something rather OK. However, arriving at this gem of a hotel we had not expected what we found. So private and quiet, yet off the main street in Franschhoek this has got to be one of the loveliest hotels I have ever stayed at. Very private and so tasteful it felt like we could happily have stayed for a week! We brought two rather small and at times rather noisy kids, yet no one batted an eye lid. Self-proclaimed 'Childrens Whisperer' Conrad even offered to babysit so we could enjoy the amazing choice of restaurants in this beautiful town. He also threatened that if the kids did wake up while we were out, he could rather stuff them with popcorn and entertain them with puppet shows and cartoons than disturb our dinner. Luckily it didnt come to that but thanks Conrad ;-) Just goes to show what this hotel is all about: Wonderful personalised service and a genuine smile to make you feel like you are in someones beautiful home rather than a hotel.

Room Tip: We had Room no 3 with a gorgeous patio and plunge pool. And the room is enormous. My feeling was it...

Just stayed here for 3 nights but it was wonderful. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the hotel is decorated beautifully. There is no restaurant but plenty of places nearby and the hotel has a free bar! The rooms are really stunning and nice and quiet. The pool is small but as the hotel only has 6 rooms it wasn't really a problem. They were great at helping us arrange a day trip to a few wine estates.

This was the second hotel on a two week trip. I would have liked to stay longer at this fantastic small hotel. It was the best experience ever. Fantastic staff who make your stay very special. Rooms brilliant. Excellent location for all amenities in this lovely town.

Room Tip: Pick one of the rooms with private pool and patio.
