We spent 2 nights at Ashbourne House and found everything to be very organized, clean and welcoming. We did however asked to be moved to a room with a view for our 2nd night, which Tim did most graciously. The breakfast was delicious with a lovely selection of goodies including homemade bread and champers (great touch:-) Highly recommended for its proximity to town and hosts Tim and Nadine who are there to cater to anything you may need. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay :-)

We had a wonderful overnight at Ashbourne House. The room was beautifully decorated and comfortable with a stunning view of the mountains from our balcony. Our hosts were lovely and explained how to get the best out of our short visit. We had the perfect visit.

We arrived in Franschhoek mid afternoon, with us only staying one night, so we were advised (as it was such a nice day) to go out and do some lovely wine tasting and to go for an early dinner to watch the sunset. They were amazing ideas and we were not disappointed, and it made our last night in South Africa a very special one.
We had to leave early in the morning, and they were very accommodating in doing breakfast (which was delicious) earlier for us, so we could get going.
The room was lovely and spacious and even had a hot water bottle put in our beds to come home from dinner to. Thank you for a great stay!

We had booked the classique room, which is even nicer in real life than in the photos on their website. We were given a wonderfully warm welcome by Joan on our arrival. She ensured that our stay was very pleasant. Melktert was on offer on the Friday afternoon for tea. There is a lovely lounge with a gas fireplace to relax in and read or chat. Breakfast on both mornings we were there was excellent. Their homemade granola, bread, and marmalade were top notch.
