“Trying to adjust to the "real" word after a magical weekend !!!!”
Reviewed 1 October 2013

We were overwhelmed by the level of luxury and the magnificent setting of the hotel. The blue and white decorated bedroom itself was gorgeous with it’s amazing view over the whole of Hout Bay. Stepping onto the balcony was like stepping out over the sea and watching the waves rolling into the beach was food for the soul. Even the smallest details have been thought out ….fresh flowers placed on the towels and bed, beige coloured velvety gowns, aromatic bath oil and crystals, staff offering to light the fire place in the bedroom, etc.

Complements to your chef for the delicious breakfast and dinner and warm greetings and thanks to your team for their warm, friendly and helpful service.

Warm regards
Thea Strauss

Me and my fiance were fortunate enough to stay 2 nights and it has been amongst the best we have seen yet in South Africa! From food, location, service, staff => absolutely perfect! If you ever have the opportunity, make a plan!

I only wanted something light for dinner and ordered the Deep fried Camembert, honey glazed bacon and caramel sticky cashew nuts. What a gastronomic delight. I washed my petite Chocolate tart and homemade ice cream down with wonderful cuppichino. With the sound of the sea in my ears I truly felt so spoiled and happy! This is the reason I come back to this gem time and again.....

We are fortunate to have stayed at Tintswalo Atlantic on a number of occasions. It really is one of the most beautiful boutique lodges in the world. Certainly the most relaxing. Everything is beyond perfect. Just visit it.

Stunning location, crashing waves right outside the rooms! Really great food, the Chef prepared a degustation menu for dinner instead of the usual smaller one which was excellent! Great service, it felt like nothing was too much trouble. Really good wines too.

Room Tip: all rooms face the sea, only 10 in total.

This was truly perfection in every way! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were treated like absolute royalty and nothing was too much trouble! The rooms are spectacular (we had the suite Cousine which location wise is one of the best ones) and you really feel like you have escaped from complete reality and entered into some kind of heavenly paradise.
The staff were all amazing and nothing was too much trouble. It was my birthday while we were there and they surprised me with a cake. There were even personalised little messages written on the butter!
I am pregnant and my sister came to the hotel to do a preggie shoot for us. Whereas some hotels would have been a bit "funny" about this, they couldnt have been more accommodating. The other guests that were staying at the hotel were out for the day and so we were literally given the run of the place.
The food was fantastic, staff just incredible, and there is not a single bit of constructive criticism i could give to improve this incredible place at all.
Thank you to Ryno and everybody else there for giving us this little gift of paradise! We will be back as often as we possibly can!

We treated my mom and dad for a weekend break as a 70th birthday present, in June. If ever you would like the perfect spot for any very special occasion, look no further than Tintswalo. This is a spot that would be perfect under any weather conditions. It feels as if the waves will be rolling into your room any second. In stormy weather it is breathtaking to watch the scene in front of you and in sunny weather you can open up everything and experience the magic in a completely different way.

The bathroom looked so appealing and the bath was situated in such a nice spot that I wanted to hop in as we arrived and just sit in the bath and watch the view. In fact, that is exactly what I did! At night if you put on all the candles in the bathroom see how beautiful the mother of pearl shells in the bathroom reflect the light.

Tintswalo will leave you wanting more. I could imagine nothing nicer than being tucked away there for a full week with a couple of good books. Forget about excursions if you stay there, you will NOT want to leave that magic spot!
