“Absolute opulence on the Cape Town Coastline”
Reviewed 9 April 2014

When searching for i high end hotel to stay at on the Cape Town Coastline, the options seem endless as beautiful rooms + views are what all the hotels pride themselves on. The one that stands out above the rest as the quintessential level of opulence when it comes to your boutique hotels in Cape Town and its surrounds is Tintswalo Atlantic. My wife an i are local residents of South African and have had the privilege of traveling and staying at some of the best hotels in and around our country. We recently attended a wedding at Tintswalo Atlantic that was unlike any wedding we have been to before. The staff were incredible and always on hand to top up a drink or help with any other needs, the decor and surrounds constantly have you experiencing a new moment of 'awe' as you come around each corner and finally the positioning of the lodge as a whole (on the western shoreline of Hout Bay) is an untouched paradise making you feel as though you are in your own little paradise with views to suit. Thank you to the Tintswalo Atlantic Team for giving us the best weekend of our lives (thus far). : )

There are actually no words I can put to paper that would describe and explain how magnificient Tintswalo is. We got married at Tintswalo Atlantic on 5th April 2014 and it was simply out of this world. The day was perfection from start to finish, thanks to Melissa, Ryno and Tanya together with the Tintswalo staff, we can honestly say from the bottom of our hearts that the day was everything and even more than we could of ever dreamt for. The friendliness, hospitality, service, excellent food and overall experience was truly amazing. Nothing ever being too much for them - always happy to help and accommodate where possible, making your every dream come true... I would get married here, over and over again & would recommend it to any bride out there!!!!

They say that "life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away" & this is one of them, from the minute we arrived at Tintswalo to when we sadly had to leave.
I will definitely be back and all our guest will be visiting too, as everyone was simply blow away with the venue, the staff, sensational food & the exceptional accommodation (simply out of this world) - attention to detail in each Suite is unbelievable.... Neville & Danielle Sparrow

Room Tip: Presidential Suite, Sicily and Robben Island

Great staff with a friendly smile. The restaurant offers personalised service and prepared smoothies and breakfast to our specifications. Did not have apple juice, so got fresh apples and made us fresh apple juice - the best ever. The rooms and views are spectacular. During the evening a beautiful fire was made in each of our bedrooms - what a touch.

Room Tip: All the rooms are special being set in a Nature Reserve. Each room has a patio with direct views of...

Every detail, from the eco-friendly ethos to the impeccable service has been thought through with the utmost attention to detail at this beautiful hotel.

The location cannot be beaten - right on the water with views over the bay and of the amazing Sentinel mountain.

The food is mouthwatering and the rooms are opulent yet cosy.

Perfect for romantic getaways or luxurious stays - just a 25 minute drive from the city.

Idyllic location, right on the ocean. Beautiful spacious suites with amazing views. Friendly and welcoming staff. Some of the best food I've had in Cape Town. All round this place is just incredible. I left totally relaxed and sad to be going. This is a must see, even if you just make a booking for a breakfast/dinner/lunch. Just make sure you check it out.

Room Tip: All the rooms are beautiful

Attended a wedding event here and had an amazing meal and drinks evening. The staff were super accomodating and did everything to make it an amazing evening. The view from the deck is outstanding, it is absolutely perfect for viewing a breath taking sunset. The decor is a mix of modern and shabby chic which seems to work beautifully, chandeliers suspended from trees, over size chairs and sofas... a lovely place to stay. It is at the bottom of a very steep hill but the hotel have a shuttle that takes you up and down so it is fully accessible. A lovely place to stay...

I am lost for words for the location of this small, tastefully decorated, seductive little getaway. However described, one cannot put into words the sheer beauty of the scenery around you. Breathtakingly beautiful, crashing waves against the rocks around you, pull open french doors to your room in the morning, and experience a view to remember forever.

The hotel itself, or I should say the team of people running this hotel, have it down to a fine art, you can see, every staff member enjoys working there, they treat you as a friend, without being to OTT and are happy to do what you need, to ensure you have a wonderful, relaxing trouble free time. The rooms are amazing, comfortable, relaxing, tasteful, and the bathrooms are spacious with every amenity you need.

Breakfast, freshly prepared, no buffet ( thank the stars ) fresh juices, salmon, cheeses, pastries, and a hot breakfast of your choosing, all served to you as and when you want it.
We chose to eat at the hotel in the evenings, which was fabulous, never in all the places have we stayed have we done that, included or not, we would usually go out to various restaurants. But the standard was high, and we could not beat the location, so we did the foodie location thing at lunchtime, and enjoyed our wonderful surroundings at the hotel, in the evening, perfect.

The pool was small, but adequate for a cooling dip, and the nice thing is they leave a cooler chest and glasses to help yourself, to cold water and cold drinks. The staff are on hand for cocktails, drinks or if you needed anything else, and to sit by the pool, watching the Atlantic, and the beautiful surroundings of Hout bay, I mean come on, how wonderful.

Nobody could not be in awe of the wonderful surroundings, and be impressed by the professionalism of the staff, and should you choose to take my advice and give this hotel a visit, you will go back, again and again and again, I am.
