We stayed at Excelsior on the last day of our Easter holiday. The guest house is beautiful and the staff is incredibly friendly. We booked very last minute and asked the owner Carin if she would cook her famous bobotie for us for dinner. Although she was not at the guest house in the evening she prepared the bobotie for us, which we thoroughly enjoyed.
The beds are great and the linen is luxurious. Small but very adequate bathroom, with gown, slippers and towel heaters. The room has tea and coffee making facilities, biscuits, a night cap and even easter eggs! The room does not have a TV but after drinking the nice Excelsior wine at dinner, we did not miss the TV at all.
We went to the wine tasting room and made our own wine using their wine blending facility. Really cool!
