“Our experience at Robertson”
Reviewed 22 July 2014

If you wish to meet lovely people who care about you, be pampered, spoilt and have tremendous cuisine, the Robertson Small Hotel is the place to go. We loved our time there. Two nights was too short! We felt we had made some lovely friends by the time we left. We WILL be back.

Room Tip: Because it was winter, a room in the Manor house was a blessing as we did not have to walk in the ra...

This is a stunning hotel with a modern relaxed feel. The certificates on the wall say it all!! Our room was connected to the swimming pool and although not the time of year for a swim, it was still nice to look out on. Our room was spacious and clean with a lovely bathroom. We ate twice at Ruebens restaurant situated in the hotel. Great food with fantastic presentation. This is also where you have your inclusive breakfast. During the day we opted to go on a wine tour, this was "interesting" the hotel did tell us that none of their guests had been with this certain company before and we were the first, it was not worth the money. Our guide wasn't great and picked us up in his old battered BMW. That being said he did take us to a lovely wine farm with a river cruise and a stunning "pick your own platter" style lunch.
The Robertson Small Hotel was perfect for us and I would highly recommend staying here if you go to Robertson. Thanks for a great stay.

This amazing, beautiful place leaves no stone unturned to make your stay one of the best experiences in your life for food, luxury and attention. My husband was ill with a bad cold the time we were there and the did all they could to make him more comfortable, making specials teas etc. Just about this place alone would have us come back to SA.

This hotel is in another class! The rooms are exquisite. The food are good and the service outstanding. We have stayed here before on a business trip and totally fell in live with the old world charm of the Small Hotel! We came back a second and a third time! We even invite friends to join us as this is such a pleasant experience.

Luxurious brake away, genuine caring staff, beautiful luxurious accommodation, exquisite attention to detail. Even in the midst of winter storm the pools looked tempting. We would go back any day. Ideal anniversary spot

A tremendously pleasant surprise to find 5 star establishment in this small village. The poolside units are beautifully appointed, all 4 poolside units open up directly onto the pool, you can step into the pool directly from your unit's veranda. Small visually pleasing, well kept garden adds tranquility.
Interesting, soulful art on display in the main house, read the book about the artist which you will find at the reception desk.
Friendly attentive staff made our 3 day stay even more pleasant. Meals can be savored at
in-house Rubens restaurant (only for guests) - the breakfast are scrumptious, includes freshly squeezed juices and fresh fruits. Dinners are prepared by top chefs - honest, wholesome food.
A treatment at the Spa is bliss, just float back to your unit and rest under comfy duvet, crisp white linen. Plenty surrounding wine farms offer excellent excursions. This Hotel comes highly recommended.

Room Tip: Pool side units are the most luxurious.
