This is a gem for Sunday Lunch. Karl is the consummate host and the setting is exquisite. The property boasts a spacious restaurant with great fare at European prices, however, if you want the best, you pay for it as is the "wet van Transvaal". The gardens, and view inspire a long lunch with a very wide range of local wines including the best among the best.

The property also hosts 4 Star accommodation with all of the above.

This is the "full Monty"

Robertson is a quiet town but it sure has some great food to offer. Fraai Uitzich produces wonderful meals, has great service and a breath taking view of surrounding mountains. We got there in time for sunset and although the decor is quite informal it was very easy to relax out on the veranda.
There were a few people serving throughout the night, all doing what they do best. One for drinks, another food etc. Every item was made from local fresh ingredients and I loved the touch of a different edible flower on each course.
There was a great selection of local wines and very reasonably priced.
We choose to eat from the menu although they do have a tasting menu on offer and we were pleased to also receive fresh bread with butter and oil as well as a complementary amuse bouche.
We actually had trouble choosing a starter so choose 3 and they were all made to perfection. A stake tartare which was fresh and tender, a ravioli which was filled with a creamy ricotta as well as being home made and flavour filled sage risotto.
Our springbok loin that we choose for our main was creatively constructed and although crumbed you could still taste how tender the meat was.
The dream of Africa desert is a chocolate fondant and a true winning dish. Treat your self with the selection of wines and you will go hope very pleased.

This was a special occasion for us and we were very impressed. A memorable moment.

Great atmosphere, great food, great wine, great service! What's not to like? On a warm sultry evening, or over lunch, sitting outside on the covered stoep with those spectacular views, and listening to the soothing sound of running water, one can be excused for feeling like a millionaire!

Beautiful view, friendly efficient staff, and an amazing menu. Delicious food and good wine available. They provide blankets if you get a bit cold.

Just remember its at the end of a 3km gravel road, so done worry if you think you're lost, just keep going.
