“We will come back!”
Reviewed 27 October 2013

What a nice experience! A very warm welcome from Paul, Lynne and their playful dogs. We were allowed to place some stuff in their fridge and freezer what was very helpful. The rooms are not big but very clean and comfortable, each with a nice outdoor sitting area! Beautiful garden, clean pool, bird lovers paradise. The breakfast was freshly prepared and quite filling – delicious. During and after our breakfast we chatted to our hosts and “no wonder” we became friends.
This guest house was the ever best start of a journey; thanks to Paul & Lynne. Please, guys, continue like that and all your guests will come back again and again.

having stayed at Cedar Lodge in Robertson on a previous trip, we knew we were returning to a warm welcome. The accommodation is extremely clean, welcoming and comfortable. We wanted to partake in the Breede River boat cruise and Cedar Lodge is situated perfectly for this just 5 minutes drive away. Lynne and Paul were excellent hosts and Paul a mine of local information. Spud the dog was lovely and kept us entertained. We would certainly return for a stay if ever we return to South Africa in the future.

After our 2009 South African tour, it was a must to include Cedar Lodge in Robertson in our 2013 South African tour. This time 4 days!

In 2009 we visited Cedar Lodge late in our tour which was a mistake, so this time we visited Cedar Lodge in the beginning of our tour. Why? The fastantic wine tour gives plenty opportunity to buy supplies of the very best wines tasted during the tour which can be enjoyed during the rest of the holydays!

It was even better than we remembered to visit Cedar Lodge where Lynne and Paul looked after us as were we part of the family! Truely "Where the Rest is Best"

Breakfast offered all you could imagine.

Rooms nice and clean.

Helpful in all aspects of making your holydays smooth and sucessful.

If Lynne and Paul offers you dinner in the evening, you are lucky!
The menu includes often South African braai which is an unforgetable experience.
The hosts are very competent cooks!

And don't miss the wine tour! If you like wine, that's an experience for life!

Lynne & Paul are wonderful & warm hosts - nothing is a problem for them - their guests comfort comes first. I had a great stay with them from 18 - 23 Jan 2013 & felt like I was at my second home. I love their doggie, Spud & he stole my heart! I miss him. The rooms are so spacious & comfortable with pure cotton sheets that cool the body in the heat. Great views from the upstairs rooms & also from the downstairs room which I stayed in both. The garden & pool are an artist's dream to paint or to photograph. Their lush garden entices many bird species & I delighted in watching them nest & feed. The wagtails walk around as if they own the place & Spud does not even bother with them as he is too busy trying to get me to play "throw my toy & I'll catch it for you". Delicious breakfasts are sumptutious & I enjoyed lingering long after it, chilling with coffee just observing the bird life in their garden. I miss my time there. Will be back

We really met a great couple. Lynne and Paul are very friendly hosts, go out of their way to make one feel ever so welcome in a beautiful place. Comfortable and perfectly clean room, with everything one can wish for. More than 3 stars I would say. On our travels we have stayed at many 3 star B+B but none topped this B+B. Some places should get lessons from this couple.!Breakfast was not only delicious, also presented with flair. Our hosts made us feel quite at home and I would recommend everyone to visit Cedar Lodge Guest House for a great stay as well as experience the friendliest couple around in the B+B business. Excellent in all ways. Thanks Lynne and Paul.

Room Tip: This home is great so go visit this guest house.

We had a wonderful welcome from our hosts, Paul & Lynne, when we unexpectedly arrived looking for accommodation during our recent tour from Durban to Cape Town. The accommodation was very comfortable, with a large and very comfortable bed that took up a large part of the beautifully presented room. Everything was spotlessly clean and well maintained. Breakfast the next morning was really excellent and something of a social occasion while we chatted with Paul & Lynne.
Pity it was only a single night stopover in the beautiful Robertson region. If we pass that way again it will be my first choice for somewhere to stay.

Room Tip: Choose ground floor if you have a problem with stairs.
