Thank you for a lovely two day stay at Rosendal Winery. For me the best part of our stay at Rosendal was the outstanding food, the chef really out did himself and we were really impressed by the standard of all meals presented to us. The grounds were well maintained and the accommodation had a nice homely feel. We also found the rates were reasonable and our children aged 8 and 5 were able to run freely within a safe environment. Their wine is also delicious. We headed back to Cape Town feeling refreshed and relaxed.

Room Tip: We had the interleading farm room which is suitable for a family of four, I recommend this if you wo...

A big thanks to the friendly staff at Rosendal, where we stayed only one night, but it was the best on our 8-day tour around Western Cape. After hearing that the first day, when we inquired about the possibility to have dinner there, they were closed, but offered us a nice rate if we wanted to stay with them the following day, we decided to go for it, and did not regret. We arrived late afternoon after a looong hike from Montagu up to the Bloupunt summit, and what could then be more perfect than to be welcomed with a nice glass of Rosendal Sauvignon Blanc and shown to our beatiful Spa Suite and indulge ourselves in a nice hot bath!!?? A glass of wine at our little veranda as the sun set, looking over the garden and the swimming pool, helped the good feeling sink in even more before we went for dinner. We were the only guests and pretended we were at our own little barony! Dinner was great and served by helpful and friendly William, matched with nice wines. Breakfast after a quick morning swim was equally pleasant.
We considered seriously staying one more night, but decided to move on to our next adventure which was shark cage diving in Hermanus (another cool thing to do!)
Being Norwegian it felt very special to find a bit of Norway far out in the country side. Thanks to Geir and his wife for establishing such a fine spot and developing into a pleasure for all our senses.
(and with the reasonable prices both for accommodation and food, we will definitely recommend you to any friends planning a visit to the region!)

We have stayed here a couple of times in the past but this time we just stopped off for some treatments in the Spa. It's 3 years since we last visited but I must say the place has really matured well and the grounds and gardens were beautiful.
We both had excellent treatments (massages) and also enjoyed a glass of wine on the verandah. Unfortunately we didn't have time to eat but Tina, who runs the place, said they had a new French chef and the menu did look good.
This place is definitely worth a try and next time we're in the Western Cape we'll be spending a couple of nights at Rosendal.

Room Tip: Worth stopping to use the spa.

We have stayed here several times before over the years. We often read the reveiws and I hoped that this year that the staff had upped their act as according to some of the older reviews this was necessary. The premises and location has always been good. So we were looking forward to an excellent chef and front of house. We stopped here three weeks ago and now back for three days with pampering in their inclusive package. Well so far everything is excellent We have met the chef, and he is French and I know where he was born and brought up in France. He is married to the new Manageress who is a breath of air. They make a good team. The venue is spectacular, you feel you are in the middle of nowhere despite being just off the beaten track with no vehicle noise. A bird lovers paradise. Now with an excellent chef we are really happy. We are now looking forward to our destress beauty package. More soon

This is the perfect getaway, in the valleys of Robertson. At this place you are truly able to rest and recuperate. All the rooms are beautiful and thoughtfully furnished. The food is exquisitely presented, and even more tasty. There is a wine for every palate, and its easy to drink the evening away with the vast view of the valley and the sun set. There is a dam in the front bustling with chirping bird life. An aqua blue overflow pool looking over the dam, with loungers all around. And when you thought it couldn't get any better, there is a spa and steam room where you can sweat out all the city stress. The staff are all very friendly and attentive, and you are made to feel welcome from the second you arrive. We took the romantic getaway package, which makes you fee like you are getting 5 star service for free. As a couple, we absolutely loved it, and highly recommend this to any one or couple wanting to get away.

Room Tip: Spa suites are excellent.

It was my birthday weekend away and we stayed at Rosendal in one of their Spa rooms.
The stay was really nice and so was the staff!
Upon arriving we have received a welcoming drink - one of Rosendal's famous wines.
Entering the room, it was clean and quiet. The bathroom is very spacious, clean and seem to be bigger than at our house.
The bed was one the things that if we could take it home, we would have done so!
My special birthday dinner was organized to be in the wine cellar. Candle light, music and a gourmet meal beautifully finished a fantastic day!
Thank you for spoiling me for my birthday! Will def come again!

We had a wonderful girls weekend away with our 2 children. The staff were great and arranged a camping cot and baby bath for us. Our units did not have a bath, but they quickly arranged for us to use the bath in a different unit, which was great!
Spa treatments were wonderful, I was just a bit dissapointed that the spa closed earlier than 17:00 on the Saturday, and we still wanted some treatments,
The food is OUTSTANDING!!! The staff is so friendly and made us feel at home.
Spectacular views.
Overall great experience.Would have liked to see on the website that it is a dirt road that leads to the guesthouse. (Maybe I missed it)
No phone's in the room - so we did not know how to order room service.
It would have been nice to have a mini bar in the room!

Dear Cornellia. Thank you so much for letting us organize your girls weekend. We truly enjoyed to have you all around! Thank you for your compliments for our staff, food, spa and location. We do try to keep our spa open as long as possible following our customers needs, but sometimes our staff has commitments after work, and it makes it very difficult when we don't have the bookings in advance. I hope we can get the spa bookings earlier next time, and we will give you 101% stay!

Thanks again for staying at Rosendal.
