From the moment we arrived we felt welcome and at home.
Staff went out of there way to make our stay special. Room was spacious and comfortable only downside no fridge.
Infinity Pool nice and warm with comfortable loungers. Spa treatment was very relaxing. Trip down bread river wih picnic enjoyable.
The Chef ( who we understand cooked for Kate and William on their honeymoon ) presented 2 days of atractive mouth watering and imagenative food.
All in all an exellent 2 days

Thank you so much for your nice review, great to hear that you enjoyed yourselves. The fridges is something we continuously evaluate, so far we have turned it down because of room-noise and energy consumption. But we do offer to put all drinks etc into our spare fridge downstairs by the reception. We look forward to have you back at Rosendal anytime soon!

We stayed here for two nights and we wished it had been more. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Upon our arrival we were shown to our room (No.2) which was stunning and given a glass of wine each to enjoy. We cannot compliment the room enough, it was excellent and immaculately clean. The chef is French and the food is fantastic, we thoroughly enjoyed all our meals and the wine was very pleasant. We enjoyed a facial treatment each in the spa which was very relaxing and great value for money. The grounds are also great and the infinite pool is a wonderful treat for the hot days. Rosendal is an absolute must.

We booked the romantic treat for 2 nights at Rosendal and it was woth every rand. The spa suite was lovely, clean and comfortable and the staff were very nice and helpfull. The breakfast and dinner was delicious and served on the deck overlooking the wineyards and the small pond. Arriving from Cape Town it was the perfect place to wind down and relax with some very nice wine, a dip in the pool and just walk through the wineyard. The romantic treat included a very nice spa treatment for both of us, delicious dinners and a river cruise which unfortunately weren't available but the staff were very kind to compensate with a nice lunch and free bottle of wine. Rosendal is highly recommended is you just want to relax and enjoy some lovely wine.

We stayed in this beautiful place for 3 nights and we have the most fond memories from here. The Spa suite was lovely, just note there is no AC, but two fans which worked fine.

We had dinner twice and it was excellent both times and thanks to William, and all the other staff, we felt like royalty!

Also try their Spa, we had massages and a facial treatment and were in heaven!

It seems remote, located up a gravel road, but it is an easy drive to Robertson and many of the good wineries. The area is not so crowded as Stellenbosch and Franschhoek and the wines are just as good.

We simply loved everything, the room, the pool, the cat and the friendly people we met.
Can not recommend it enough!

This was our 2nd stay at Rosendal and as with the first it was very enjoyable staying among the vineyards. We did not make a reservation which is normally recommended but just turned up and was lucky to get a room although the restaurant was closed,it being the chefs night off..Rosendal does not have tvs in their rooms although they have a Tv in the bar area,so this makes for a very relaxing time. Our room had a view over the pool area and dam and it was very nice sitting on the stoep watching the sun go down while having some nice local wine!!The only negative thing to say about this place is that the rooms really need a renovation...the furniture has seen better days and the toilets does not reflect the standard they wish to portray and which they charge for!!Breakfast the next morning was nice but left us hungry. The road to Rosendal is a gravel road,by no means bad,but I believe the municipality are going to tar the ring road of Klaasvoogds and this will mean more guests for Rosendal and the other places around there.

Thank you so much for staying at Rosendal and review us at TripAdvisor. I am sorry about your dissapointment regards to our closed kitchen that night, it was a closure that was planned well in advance and communicated to all booked guests and I do believe this was also communicated to yourselves. Our breakfast are a-la-carte and free of charge, so I am sorry that you left hungry as we would never charge you anything for a second order. We hope to welcome you back to Rosendal, so we can show that we can deliver to your expectations!
