Lovely place, very relaxing, great views. We arrived around 5pm and despite the lady on duty having finished wine tours for the day she did a private tasting for us, which was very kind. The wine was lovely. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help. Great pool. Great views. Gutted to leave after one night, if I am ever back in Robertson I would book in here for a few days to unwind and look into some of their treatments.

We spent 3 nights at Rosendal. It really is a remote retreat to do nothing other than relax and recharge. Your hardest choice is whether to have a swim, a massage or do some wine tasting. The food is absolutely outstanding, we had the degustation menu, twice - it was sublime. Annelie and her staff are wonderful, we had arrived rather irritated since the road to Rosendal was being resurfaced and we got totally lost. Once we arrived however, William was there to greet us with a glass of wine and a smile that would charm the leaves off a tree! Both he and Annelie made us feel like VIP's. We had a spa room, number 5, it was beautiful and quiet being right at the end. Two things we would have liked though were air con and a fridge, the nights were a uncomfortably warm, which in turn meant we woke up gasping for a cold glass of water. So, in the absence of either air con or a fridge my tip would be - request an ice bucket before going to bed.

Room Tip: spa suite 5, its on the end

We spent an amazing 2 days at Rosendal. No TV, no phones just pure relaxation. We arrived after the kitchen had closed for lunch but Tina and William ensured we had a light meal brought to our room! All of the meals were amazing....best pork belly and creme brûlée I have had thus far! Special mention to William for his great service...really goes the extra mile. Room was great...loved the bath!

When the access road from Highway 60 is completed, this will be a very easy place to get to. Until then, call ahead for directions and you will be well rewarded. We had a very pleasant 2 nights stay and liked the spacious room, comfortable bed, outside space, pool and views in a very peaceful location. Service and food were of a high standard. I think the access issues have had an impact on occupancy, which is a shame. We liked the spa, which offered a good range of treatments. and excellent value. We highly recommend Rosendal as a place to stay in the area.

If you want to spoil yourself with 5star service and treatment this is the place to go. Money well worth spent. In the country side, peaceful and beautiful. Rooms have been updated, new manager and chef, they make this place work like a charm.

My wife and I spent a night at Rosendal and everything, from the the moment we arrived to the way our room was set up and even the serving of the food, had a sense of peace about it. The staff were lovely and always willing to help. The surroundings are incredibly peaceful. My wife is a beauty therapist and she commented on how great their spa treaments were and how reasonably priced they are. We will definitely go back!

Room Tip: Room number 5 is furthest away from the restaurant area and had a particular calm about it.

I've stayed at Rosendal many times and had seen it grow a little tired and weary. However, this year the owners had clearly invested in updating the rooms and the new manager - Annelie - and her husband the chef are great assets to Rosendal. We had a lovely stay and literally the only downside I can still find is the lack of air conditioning in the rooms. However, part of the charm of Rosendal is the rustic feel of the place, tucked away in such a beautiful valley, so having mod cons such as TVs or airconditioning really isn't top of your mind. Can't wait to be back there soon.
