Fraai Uitzicht 1798

This vineyard is the perfect place from which to explore Robertson's wine country (don't miss Springfield, in our view the region's finest wine and a great place to visit but you can't stay there).
The rooms are modern, the gardens immaculate and the food of the highest quality (served in a restaurant with stunning views). Only a few small detail matters, (patchy service, leaky aircon, a duck living in the swimming pool!) stopped it getting five stars.

It's not often one gets it all, but at Fraai Uitzicht you certainly do. A beautiful, tranquil setting at the foot of the Langeberg mountains with superb views of the Robertson wine valley, exquisite accommodation, superb food, great wines and friendly and professional service. An outstanding base to relax or enjoy whatever the picturesque valley has to offer. And with hosts like Kurt, who seemingly has a permanent smile on his face, and Sandra, who hides a wicked sense of humour behind typically Swiss precision, how can Fraai Uitzicht rate anything less than five stars! Thanks for the memories, and we were only their for one night! Johann & Sharon.

Room Tip: Any room will do. We stayed in Chardonnay.

Wow, what a setting! A great comfortable stay with personalized service by the owners Karl and his wife.We were well looked after by Jolene and received a warm welcome upon arrival.Rooms were spacious and very comfortable. Great pool and even better views. We will return for a longer stay next time. You can also purchase your wine right there as Karl is the winemaker.

Room Tip: We were very happy with our room - Chenin Blanc. It has an amazing shower.

Only stayed the one night but thoroughly enjoyed it.
Nothing too much trouble, set in fantastic grounds with a great pool.
We had the pleasure of eating here and had the taster menu with matching wines. Food was absolutely spectacular the chef and co owner came out and spoke to us about nearly every course. Her Husband who makes most of the wines was very knowlegable and made sure my glass was always full.
Breakfast was a sight to behold all brought to your table.
Would recomend a visit

We had picked Fraai Uitzicht as a destination based on the accommodation and location...it was only when we arrived that we realised we were in for a gourmet extravaganza!! We were in the Shiraz room, which was an individual building overlooking the gardens and swimming pool with a lovely little terrace outside. Lovely spacious well furnished bedroom and large sitting area, fabulous bathroom and an outdoor shower, which was beautifully laid out and we used that rather than the indoor one, because it was there! Carl and Sandra were good hosts, and the dinner menu was stunning,.....try the tasting menu...out of this world! A lovely breakfast, taken on the terrace set us up for a day of exploring vineyards recommended by Janine. We do need to go on a diet now after such wonderful food! A great stay on many levels.

We have stayed here twice, and enjoy the hospitality, ambience, excellent food and the property's own wine. Their Merlot is superb.
Carl, Sandra and Janine show a real passion for making their guests welcome and it is a great place to relax, with a nice pool and garden and beautiful accomodation. Walking around the neighbouring vineyards in the spectacular scenery is most enjoyable, making it an excellent choice.

Room Tip: Merlot is a lovely suite and nicely situated in the garden.
