Definitely the most stunning views in the Cape...amazing architecture...setting....art (in the gallery)...stunning food and great wine and service!
Sadly was not informed before hand that they don't cater at all for children, and at R150 for a piece of beef my 5 year old wouldn't have appreciated it! No chips / mash / pasta...zip :-(
Anyway, even though we had one "corked" bottle of Warlord (red wine) it was quickly replaced with no fuss...even enjoyed some complimentary petit fours which were sublime.
The Venison i had was beautifully presented and melted in the mouth, and my fellow guests all enjoyed the Beef fillet.
Their starter breads with specialty butters were AMAZING!! Ask for more! I can't wait to fin another excuse to make the trip out...one of the best kept secrets in Cape Town! Freedom our waiter is also worth a mention - keep it up!

Stylish. Taste combinations are spectacular. Just sublime. Wine is commendable. Waldorf Salad version memorable. Beef main really good. Pricey, but worth it.

Outstanding food and service, has definitely vaulted into the paper echelons of Cape Restaurants. Incredible food paired with a superb wine and craft beer list. Decor and design are unmatched in Southern Africa

It was our first visit to Equus Restuarant and we will definately be back again. The estate has is set in beautifully surroundings and the views over the surrounding mountains are stunning. From the time we entered the estate we were impressed by the professionalism of the staff. It was a perfect afternoon and we sat outside. The wine list is very extensive and has a large selection of wines by the glass at reasonable prices. The Sunday lunch menu is compact with 6 starters mains and deserts.the attention to detail was nothing short of spectacular. The presentation was a work of art and the flag ours were sublime. The service was excellent , not in your face and very professional. It's was one of the best meals we have enjoyed anywhere in the world.

From the time we arrived to the time we left we felt special. The cheerful welcome from a very attentive staff set the scene for a wonderful Sunday lunch with family. The views are to die for, the food was so well presented and the wine list was well thought out. All the staff were very well trained in their field of expertise. We had a day to remember and we will all be back very soon. Well done you make Stellenbosch proud!!
