Friendly reception and excellent self contained room. Well located for N2 highway, Somerset West Mall, local restaurants and 30 minutes from Cape Town airport. First class breakfast and room looking out on pool and well kept garden.

Room Tip: Limited number of rooms so book early

From the moment you knock on the door and you are invited in Pippa makes you very welcome in her lovely home. We were visiting friends who live in Somerset West and as they now live in a retirement village, we had to find a convienient place to stay. Parrington Manor ticked all the boxes, sadly there are only 3 reviews posted, Pippa deserves a lot more and judging by her visitors book it's a shame more guests haven't shared their experiences on Trip Advisor.
There are two very spacious guest suites which open out onto a veranda, well tended gardens and swimming pool. Pippa was very helpful with restaurant recommendations, offering to make bookings and provide a taxi number for us. This was great for us as we're from the UK and didn't have a local mobile phone. We had cooked breakfast both mornings, the scrambled egg was perfect, attention to detail was spot on with the choice of warm croissants and pastries, as well as cereals, yogurt and fresh fruit salad.
If you're looking for a Guest House where your made to feel like an old friend ( and not in a false way) this is definately for you. We will be back on any subsequent visits and would recommend Parrington Manor to others.

I found Parrington Manor via google when looking for accommodation in Somerset West. I had a stand at the Getaway show. I thought that it looked lovely on the website, but you never know.
Oh my word was I pleasantly surprised when I got there, it surpassed all my expectations.
Pippa Parrington the owner is sheer elegance and class herself and the most gracious hostess. Her 2 suites reflect her personality and she had all those special extras and finishing touches that take it up into a class of its own. Would I recommend Parrington Manor to you all.
Yes and a thousand more Yes's
Pippa thank you for looking after us so well. We will be back

Room Tip: Both of the Suites were Magnificient

We had a function to attend at a wine estate off the R44 and did not wish to drive back to Cape Town so we decided to overnight here. It was the first night of a long weekend and we ended up spending an unplanned second night here as well (that should tell you something about our satisfaction with the establishment). There are apparently only two guest rooms; they are side-by-side, opening onto the pool patio.

Our room was spacious and the extra-length king-size bed was to our liking (firm). Although nominally spring, the weather was still decidedly wintery, but the heating was efficient and the room pleasantly warm. Furnishings were good. The room has a mini-kitchen with refrigerator and microwave. There is Wi-Fi throughout the premises. The bathroom (shower only) was well-appointed; also to our liking was the absence of the ubiquitous overhead rain shower that we detest. Unlike many establishments, water pressure in the shower was excellent. The only negative was the very limited satellite television bouquet, but we have become accustomed to that at most establishments in South Africa. GBC's son occupied the room next door, and it was no less impressive.

Breakfast was excellent and nothing was too much trouble for Pippa (she and husband Charles are wonderful hosts). We shall stay here again if we need an overnight in the area.

My wife and I stayed overnight at Parrington Manor, early in May, after an unpleasant experience in a Guest House elsewhere in Somerset West. What a Classy and Elegant establishment, both in the accommodation, accessories contained therein, the adjoining house itself and the immaculate garden and pool. The owners were attentive and very friendly throughout, too. That was "five star treatment and accommodation.
One must bear in mind, if it is a requirement, though, that there is a shower, etc, but no bath in the rooms and that undercover parking is available, but limited to two cars parked behind one another which could be somewhat of an inconvenience when departing, but the owners were prepared to move the cars themselves, if necessary.
The costs may be a bit excessive for those wanting "budget accommodation" but here one does "get what you pay for", though. A very pleasant- and enjoyable experience, nevertheless and an establishment worthy of " A TOUCH OF CLASS" designation. JOHN AND ALICIA

Room Tip: There are only two rooms. Ours was equisite and the other appeared equally so. Both face onto the...
