“Perfect for a short trip”

Very clean and comfortable rooms, nice little pool and the best view from the terrace - perfect for a short trip! We only spend one night at Impangele as we had a stop over in Swellendam. Great service - got organized dinner at a nice restaurant next door after arriving late at night. Thank you so much!

We had the leopard room, which is fully kitted out in fake Leopard-skin products, right down to the dressing gowns and shades. It sounds kitsch, but actually the rooms have been done up beautifully, so the slightly eccentric theming doesn't detract from the quality of the furnishings and decor.

Breakfast was served on the patio in the garden, under a new growing vine which I look forward to trying some grapes from next time.

Lovely couple, small and friendly place and in a super-safe and interesting town

Had a really pleasant experience. Ideally situated close to amenities, shops and main road. Excellent for guests in wheelchair!

Hosts really friendly, welcoming and accommodating.

Best breakfast experience - quality and quantity - really excellent value for money.

Will definitely return in personal capacity in future.

We stayed with Amanda and Dave for 5 days. We loved the fact that they cater so well for wheelchair users...level access in and around house, bathroom in Zebra room is very well designed, mirrors and dressing table are positioned perfectly. We will forever treasure the memory of the anniversary gift they gave us. We highly recommend them to wheelchair users! Their hospitality was excellent and we felt sad to leave...

Room Tip: Zebra room perfect for the wheelchair user

This is a small B&B run by Dave and Amanda,an English couple who definitely go that extra mile to make you feel welcome.
We enjoyed our 3 night stay so much on our way up the Garden Route that we have decided to return on our way back to Cape Town.
The accommodation is extremely good value for money.

Dave and Amanda were so helpful, friendly and keen to point out where to go and what to see. The garden is a delight with all the visiting birds, and breakfast was fab! An ideal place to use as abase for exploring the area.

We had just one night at Impangele, but were very impressed with the warm welcome and friendly and attentive service from Amanda and David. Nothing seemed too much trouble. This quirky little B&B has themed bedrooms; ours was the Leopard Room. This ensuite room was spacious and the bed comfortable. There was a tea and coffee-making facility.
It was a Saturday afternoon and Amanda advised us that we should book a table at a restaurant for that evening. She and David made some very helpful suggestions about where we should go, produced some menus for us to look at and once we had made our choice Amanda booked a table for us at Field and Fork.
Amanda and David are ex-pats. It was interesting to read Amanda's diary entries about their move from the UK to SA and how they transformed a run-down building into a B & B.
The breakfast was as good as one could expect from an upmarket hotel: cereals, fruit, yoghurt, rolls, muffins, eggs, bacon, mushrooms, etc...
Keen bird-watchers will be enchanted with this place. Amanda will take great delight in telling you about the different species that come down to feed at the outside terrace. We had our breakfast outside and were fascinated to watch them.
To sum up, Impangele is quietly situated, comfortable, has perfect hosts, is very reasonably priced and makes an ideal stopover for Garden Routes or to or from Cape Town airport.
