Friendly service paired with tasty and incredibly generous servings of homemade soup and bread. Good for the soul.
Make sure you try the pea soup.
And the bean soup.
And the tomato soup.
And the sweet potato soup.

We stopped here for lunch on our way to Knysna. We were greeted by the most welcoming hosts who run the shop/restaurant who could not have been more welcoming or accommodating. The food is delicious and the desserts to die for. Highly recommended for a lunch time stop.

When reviewing restaurants I seldom visit the same place more than once. This time I couldn't resist going back for more. Delicious home made veg soup, tasty cottage pie, surprisingly light cheesecake with subtle berry compote, decadent choc-orange-coffee cake, and smooth coffee formed part of a collection of surprises. Then add to that the crackle of a fireplace on a rainy day and caring hosts.
