From the minute we stepped off the very delayed plane we felt welcomed by sarinande. Our driver had waited at the airport 3 hours! The welcome drink and cool towel was needed and welcomed by us. Our room was clean, quiet, modern tidy and private (top floor, end room number 29. Only workers walking past). Bed was huge and comfy, bathroom spacious, balcony seating with a relaxing view. Pool was clean and lots of lounges to sunbathe on. Drinks were cheap and food was well priced and tasty. Loved the vegetarian omelet every morning and banana pancakes! But there was a really good spread of other breakfast foods too. Location is perfect - on a dead end street so not much traffic compared to the busy kuta. So so close to the beach <2 minute walk! <5minute walk to more built up street for shopping. They organised a driver for us for a day and any request was no bother. Absolutely wonderful place to stay! Recommend highly! Thank you Sarinande!

We went here the first time over 15 years ago and, every time we go back, we make sure to spend a few days here. This is not the new Australian owned Bali. This is the older, slower, friendlier, and quieter Bali. This is not party city, this is not red velvet ropes, this is a Balinese hotel that is clean, friendly, with hot water, close to the beach, breakfast included and not frills.

While I would love to see some upgrades and am not happy with the increased cost over the past few years, we still enjoy.

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying for 9 days at this hotel. First impression was that the location might be a disadvantage but this was quickly dispelled as we found that the hotel was surprisingly close to amenities but yet far enough away that there was minimal disturbance when we were not in the mood for crowds and noise.
Service and staff were excellent. Our stay felt as comfortable as being at home - but with all the perks and extras of hotel stays.
The general feel of the place from our own experiences and from discussing with very regular visitors is that this is a place where you feel that you are not 'just another customer'.
All staff are friendly and professional in their duties but more important - they are willing to go out of their way to educate those who are willing to learn and accept that Bali is unique.
The drivers who took us on (surprisingly cheap) trips were pleasant mannered and knowledgeable.
This is the first time in all my years that I have felt strongly enough to write a review about a place where I have stayed.
We did during our time in Bali investigate a number of other 5 star hotels as a matter of curiosity and we both felt that our original choice was correct.
I would not recommend this hotel to those travelers who are looking for a mass produced replica of every other media-enhanced-top-star-impersonal hotel in the world.
Sarinande Hotel is the ideal booking for those who wish to have all the friendly service and relaxed time near (but not too near) to the activities and amenities.
Although our trip to Bali was expected to be a "once-off", we are already planning our return to the same hotel and staff.
Thank you Sarinande staff for introducing us to Bali.

When we just arrived the hotel room seemed nice a first glance. Toiletries are provided and two bottles of water are supplied daily. However, after a closer look it became apparent that the room was in need of some work as was the rest of the hotel. For example, the water in the shower was stagnant after a brief shower. It is policy of the hotel to pay for the stay at arrival so it might be an idea to take a look at the room and the hotel before you commit. The pool is of a nice size, but also could do with an update (chipped tiles, sharp edges on the submerged barstools). The personell was very friendly, always a smile, and is very helpful if something needs to be arranged. The breakfast provided is in the form of a buffet and is alright. The beach and plenty of shops are a walk away.

We used to stay here twice a year on business. The staff are fab and cannot do enough for you. Everything is as expected for the price. Many business people used to stay here therefore the pool used to hardly get used at all!
P.S. To make this review I had to say we travelled there in March 2013

I stayed here in jan 14 for 12 nights. Staff were very helpful and it is in a nice quite part of bali away for the noise of kuta. Also has a good pool to learn to dive with adventure scuba bali office right next door. Great if u want to learn to dive. Great value for seminyak :-)

Stayed here for 5 nights end Dec/early Jan 2014. What a great find and a bargain! Really nice rooms (downstairs front on to pool). Beds, linen, pillows and towels were all good. Bed really comfy. The staff were fantastic and nothing was a problem. They keep the place really clean and are always tidying up, without being intrusive. Always smiling and happy. They also serve free tea and coffee all day and also have free afternoon tea! Great location, 150 metres to beach, 5 mins to Dhyana Pura Road and about 10 min walk to Seminyak Square along back lanes. Quite dark at night but didn't feel worried about walking at all. Pool is really nice and clean and they provide towels. Nice mix of people. Always room around the pool for a laze in the sun and provided us with umbrellas when it was raining. Only negative and I hate to say anything bad, but our room had a smell about it but we fixed this by burning some incense when we had been out. Would definitely stay again.
