We recently stayed for 8 nights at Villa 108 - myself, my husband, our two children aged 19 months and 3.5 years, and another couple. We were very happy with our stay.
The owner of the villa made booking very easy, and even lined up a nanny for me, who was perfect and great with our children. We were picked up at the airport and when we arrived at the villa, our housekeeper Ketut was there to greet us. We were given a portacot, baby monitor and pram to use during our stay, free of charge. The villa is just as in the photographs, apart from a few cracks in the floor tiles, some of which are a bit sharp. The pool and gardens are lovely. We spent a lot of time on the sun-beds.
The villa is positioned very close to everything. You can walk down to get a massage from 3 different places within 2 minutes. There are heaps of restaraunts close by, Lacalaca and Kreol Cafe were a few of our favourites. A brand new deli opened up at the end of the laneway while we were in Bali, great for getting cheap icecreams. A larger supermarket is only a $1 taxi ride away.
The only downfall of the villa was the laneway, about 100m walk down a rocky and unsealed track, which was dark at night. But this was a small price to pay to stay here and we managed alright. There were also a few noise issues, lots of barking dogs, and there is a large hotel going up just across the way, so lots of banging and grinding going on during construction. But this seems to be the way things are in Bali, so it's hard to fault the villa.
We are already planning our next trip back for November next year.
