Donny, Florens, Puta, Joni, Jaya made our stay in Bali memorable. Nothing was too much for them, from arranging motorbikes and bodyboards, to hire cars and taxis to the airport, they sorted it. The accommodation was spacious and spotless with excellent breakfast provided every day. Can't thank them enough for their attention.

Hidden in the busy region of Seminyak a lovely, cosey and quiet Balinese house and kind staff is welcoming you.
It is not the first time that I stayed there and hopefully also not the last time.
Kind, patient staff is supporting with every enquirers and wishes.
Motorbike could be rent and excursions are organized from Teka Teki.
Different kind of rooms most with AC and one dormitory are available for an absolute affordable price.
Rich, tasty breakfast is offered in the price.

I had an excellent time thanks to the staff, Jules and Agung...

I stayed in Teka-teki with my three friends on October last year and we had such an amazing time. Bayu (receptionist) was so helpful with all our queries during our stay and Florence too was so lovely making our delicious breakfast every morning.
Our trip to Bali was truly memorable, not only that staying in Teka-teki was a breeze and so cheap, did I say cheap? Yes, it was extremely cheap almost feel like our stay was for free. For only $20 per person per night for a comfortable sleep, our own bathroom and a delicious breakfast too what else could you ask for right? The location is also conveniently walking distance to the numerous shops in the main streets of Seminyak.
I highly recommend staying in Teka-teki not only because the place is super affordable and yet comfortable but also because the staff are friendly and hospitable.

5 of us girls stayed in this lovely hostel for our first 3 nights in Bali. The staff couldn't do enough for us. They arranged a tour around the east coast with a great driver. The breakfast was just enough and came out spot on time every morning. The rooms were cool, airy and clean. We were about 10 mins from the beach down a back road, away from the noise and bustle.
Would definitely come here again.

This place was great! It was really cute and well set up. Everything was clean and new and the whole place felt really cozy. It is in a back alley, but I felt very safe walking to the main street from the hostel, even at night. The staff were really friendly and the place is well run. The breakfast is good too :).

the only negative issue i have with this place is that at night, it can get quite creepy walking from the main street back to the hotel. There's a convenience store located right where the main street intersects with the street leading to the hotel. Had to drop by there at night to buy some stuff. We came from somewhere else so I had the taxi drop me off there while my friends went straight to the hotel. Walking back was pretty creepy, it was dark and sometimes there are stray dogs (not the 3 resident dogs of teka-teki) and bats flying around the path. Probably wouldn't be as creepy if I had friends walking with me.

having said that, I would still recommend this hotel. It's in a good location close to JL Seminyak (the main road) with lots of boutique stores, nice swimwear shops, spas, convenience stores, restos, etc lining the road. It's not that easy to find if you're in a taxi. Just tell the driver it's near Made's Warung and Queen's Tandoor (both popular restaurants) in Jalan Seminyak. When you see Queen's Tandoor, at the street intersecting it with the main road, then turn left at the first road. Just keep going straight and you'll see Teka Teki towards the end. On the other side (about 10minutes walk) is the beach.

We booked the Baris room for 3 nights. It's in the building in front of the main house. Our building has 2 rooms which can be connected to each other by a door in the middle. There's a sofa outside, a rack to hang wet towels and clothes, as well as a small dining area where we had our breakfasts every morning. Upon entering, it was nice to see that they have set up an extra bed knowing there were 3 of us. I knew there was a sofa bed in the room so I expected that it was gonna be the "extra bed" already for a group of three, so this was a pleasant surprise. There was also a towel rack inside the room.

Bathroom was semi-open air. The shower area had no ceiling so it was nice having a view of the moon at night when showering. Shampoo and shower gel were provided. Toilet and shower area not separated so expect the toilet to get wet whenever someone is using the shower. Around 5 hooks at the back of the door to hang clothes/towels. Draining of the sink becomes slow after a while, so the water piles up. They provided bath towels, hand towels AND beach towels (which was great). Outside the room is a water dispenser and there's a water heater in the room if you want coffee/tea.

Breakfast came with the room price. There's a laminated menu right outside your room door with a erasable marker so that you can choose which breakfast you want for the next day and the time you want them to serve it (between 8-11am). There's a number of options to choose from--- 1) you choose between iced and hot coffee or tea (and some options for your coffee and tea) ; then 2) you choose whether you want a fruit platter or fruit shake ; 3) then you choose your main dish. I tried the mee goreng and the nasi goreng. Both were pretty good and flavorful. For our last day we had to leave earlier than 8am for Ubud so we asked if we can have our breakfasts served earlier. They agreed but only for toast and fruit platter. We just had our fruit platters instead.

There's a TV in the room but we never turned it on. AC was good. Beware, though, that if you leave the room door open for even a short while, mosquitoes will enter. Just always remember to close the door behind you every single time. They provided an electric mosquito repellent in the room. They also provide laundry service. 3 sockets inside the room. 1 in the restroom but it was placed pretty high with no place to "park" the gadgets so that wasn't used. We only used 1 socket and made do with an adaptor instead. The 3rd socket is for the TV (right behind it) and space is pretty tight so wasn't able to use that also.

My friend availed of the wifi for IDR20,000 but signal was so slow it didn't really reach our room. She always had to go to the main house for better connection. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Asked for recommendations for nice white sand beaches with less tourists and were given a few options.

they don't have a pool but guests can use the pool just a few minutes walk away with a minimum purchase from the cafe. Wasn't able to check out the pool.

They also have 3 resident dogs (I'm a dog-lover) so I found this nice. On our last night we discovered we didn't have enough cash to pay the remaining balance and found out they didn't accept credit cards. We also didn't bring our ATMs (we don't really use atms when abroad) so the manager had to text the owner (whom she said was abroad) asking if we could pay thru Paypal. Good thing the owner agreed or we'd have to walk to the BMC money changer and back early the next morning as soon as it opens.

All in all, we had a very good stay in Teka Teki House and would probably stay here again. Would just be more prepared next time when walking to and from the house at night. I'd like to try one of the rooms in the main house the next time.
