I stayed in the Amala spa villa for 4 nights 2 weeks ago because the price is reasonable for such a great location and a sizable villa, well...it turned out to be more than I expected! the hotel design is just beautiful with good mix of modern and Balinese elements. The villa has all the facilities I needed, staff are all friendly and helpful, breakfast is great and is my daily booster. It's one of the very few hotels that I'd say "I'll be back" - and next time I'll probably go with friends and stay in the residence. It's truly best value you can find in seminyak.

Last but not least, thank all the Amala staff and Surya for helping me to organize my activities there, you showed me the best of Balinese hospitality and have made my trip enjoyable and amazing.

We had 10 nights at the amala may 15th to 26th. We were really happy when we saw the spa villa we got. It had everything you need and more. Outside sink, shower which turned into a steam room .outside bath and own plunge pool all based around decked area so we could sunbath in the day.. Sliding doors opened up to huge bedroom with superking bed & inside toilet/sink. It was huge! The breakfast was nice, could be healthy if you wanted or have the two eggs any style with bacon! Can also opt for breakfast in your villa aswell if you want. The staff couldn't do enough & were very helpful with area & suggestions for things to do. We had a massage on arrival which was complimentary & bliss! Recommend a treatment their. We had the best time at the amala and would def return!

My wife and I stayed here for four nights, and we couldn't have asked for more. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the spa villa was beautiful. The hotel is in a great location as well. If we are fortunate enough to go back to Bali, we will certainly be staying at the Amala again!

We had a very brief stay at The Amala - only one night, and we arrived quite late and had to leave early the next morning. However overall the stay was lovely.

The transfer from the airport was peaceful and on arrival they took us straight to our room where we completed the check-in formalities.

The room was well laid out, consisting of equal indoor and outdoor space surrounding a large jacuzzi.

Room service food was amazing. Very healthy and service was prompt.

Only issues encountered were that the clock radio with an iPod dock didn't work and wasn't addressed when we reported it when ordering room service. The other issue was the water was turned off when we went to shower in the morning. This was immediately fixed, and the cause was some works they were undertaking in the communal area.

I will definitely spread the word about this healthy hideaway!

Just home from 3 glorious nights at The Amala where we celebrated our 10th Wedding Anniversary. We had a Spa Villa & it was heavenly. It was so secluded & private - we never heard any other guests & the staff were impeccable. They were attentive yet discreet. We had a 1hr Spa treatment as part of our package & it was by far THE best massage we had in Bali.....sooooo good!
Breakfast was delicious-we would wake up, phone our order through & it would arrive freshly made within 10mins - what a service!
In my opinion it is not really within walking distance to the beach but it is a fabulous place for relaxing & taking time out from the world.
Our stay here was supposed to be a 'one off' anniversary treat but we are already trying to figure out how soon we can leave the kids & get away again!!

Room Tip: We organised our stay directly with The Amala
