Best Chicken Satay and Beef Rendang I had in Bali. Great lighting and serviced by young fee unduly girls. Owned by a Victorian guy who came over to ask after our experience. Also had the footy on and great bar

“Great family venue.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 June 2014 via mobile

We have eaten here on two previous trips in 2010 & 2012. Ambience and quality of the staff is great, as is the food. Prawns, fish in banana leaf, chicken Parma, calamari & satay were tasty, fresh and tasty. No one left anything on the plates. Very reasonably priced and we were entertained by fire dancers (5 mins) of fun. The owner, Dave, frequents the place and has opened up a little sports bar which is alongside the restaurant. You can watch your favourite sports, whilst enjoying a great meal. I hear they have live music there too. Well worth the visit.

“Great bar with the most amazing staff”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 June 2014

Fabulous bar with AFL on the televsions which suited my husband. Good cocktails and friendly atmosphere. It was however the staff that made it memorable. Dinner was very nice and I think there is some sort of entertainment each night. Whether it be the magician ( who was great), to the fire dancer or traditional Balinese dancers. A really enjoyable envening and a few afternoons were spent here.

“Great value”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 June 2014 via mobile

Friends had booked dinner & we were thinking it would be chaos as there were 12 people, wanting separate bills?
We were surprised! food great, service very good, drinks reasonably priced.
Lovely evening had by all!

“Average restaurant...will not return.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 June 2014

Attended Nirvana for dinner on a Saturday night, we made a booking but this probably wasn't required, as surprising the restaurant was not overly busy.

We sat inside in the air conditioned section. There were 2 TV's on playing Australian (AFL) football (different games).

The overall ambiance of the restaurant was dull, very casual and unimpressive.

The waitress was friendly and attentive. A welcome drink was provided but no explanation was given as to what it was. When I inquired I was informed that the drink was an alcoholic cocktail (in a shot glass). The waitress stated that it contained "local alcohol" and then reluctantly volunteered that it was Arak, after further probing.

The food was average. The entree of seafood soup, garlic bread and spring rolls was average and the main of beef stroganoff and chicken parmigiana was also average - at best.

The price was not exorbitant but IMO too expensive the average quality food and casual style of restaurant. There are certainly better restaurants around and as Nirvana was not very busy on a Saturday night I would assume others have already realised this.

There was a display from 2 fire dancers which was okay but would probably appeal to families with children more than it did with myself.

Overall...probably best described as an average restaurant with average food and personality and I would encourage looking at other options. 5/10.
