Reviewed 14 March 2016 for a stay in March 2016

Have just spent a week here with 13 girlfriends. Having an ensuite between was the only way to go with such a large group. Rooms were spacious and clean. Pool beautiful. Unlimited water and ice was great. Staff all friendly and helpful but not intrusive at all.

Stayed here with 14 girls for a 50th. Villa was amazing! Staff were exceptional. Safe and secure, close to everything and $3 cab fair to the beach. Would definitely recommend. ❤️

“Home away from home”
Reviewed 31 January 2016 for a stay in January 2016

Catered for 2 families, 13 people in total, from January 20th to 30th 2016

We were picked up from the airport with smiling faces. Our drivers quickly organised us and luggage into 3 vans for the 20min trip to Akasa Villa, Seminyak.

Staff welcomed us with a cold refreshment and face towel, before showing us to our rooms which were spacious with comfortable beds, quiet cool air conditioning, great showers and water pressure.

Breakfast was included everyday. Basic western breakfast cooked to order and delicious. We Requested an Indonesian breakfast for one morning and an Indonesian banquet one evening which was catered for with a smile and no fuss. We cooked for ourselves, one night, with no issues in obtaining groceries from a nearby supermarket then using the villa kitchen equipment.

Pool was cleaned regularly and was refreshing to be in morning, noon or evening. Rooms where cleaned, beds made everyday.

Would highly recommend staying at Akasa Villa.

A couple of tips:
1. there is a transport bay at the end off the road which was great when we needed a 7 seat van or small bus for daily outings but learnt the shorter rides into Kuta/Legian/Seminyak where more expensive than the cost of a blue taxi.
2. 5mins walk to Sun Shoot Bar & Restuarant is an absolute must for great staff, great food, cheap cocktails (happy hours 5-8pm) and awesome acoustic entertainment.

“Wonderful”
Reviewed 10 December 2015 for a stay in November 2015

We stayed in Akasa from November 25th to December 2nd for my Aunt's 60th birthday. Upon arrival we were greeted with welcome drinks, a late night snack and extremely refreshing cold towel plus WiFi access.

During daylight hours, we discovered how beautiful the Villa actually was - a very sociable, wide open plan living / dining area and inviting pool.

The positives for a private villa include:

> the private pool and the ability to use it 24/7 without disturbing other guests,

> the availability of friendly staff, who are more than willing to assist with anything we required, without being intrusive, and

> the ability to escape from all the hustle and bustle of the outside world.

The rooms were comfortable, air conditioned and spacious and the bamboo sheets were heaven to sleep on.

The laundry service took 24 hours and on it's return smelt divine.

During our stay, there were a few maintenance issues with the shower in the upstairs villa and the toilet in room 2, which the staff were able to rectify as soon as possible.

What I would like to see Akasa include in the future is....

> more areas to be able to dry pool towels, swim wear etc

> towel racks outside each bedroom would help to identify individual towels, plus save on laundry costs

> a communal toilet and shower would be great near the pool, as getting out the pool and walking on the tiles made it extremely dangerous. The children fell numerous times and one of our elderly guests slipped on the wet tiles and fell down, hurting his leg.

The week was spent relaxing with our party of 17. We had lots of laughs in our favourite holiday destination, Bali. A private villa is definitely the way to go with a large group, to enjoy your holiday vacation.

Thanks for your lovely review. It was a pleasure to read your thoughts on the advantages that a private villa has. With such a large group as yours it is great value as well.

We do have plans to instal a pool shower under one of the frangipanis, and will also take up your suggestion of a towel rack for each room. Thanks for these suggestions.

When ever there are children staying at the villa it is virtually inevitable that the tiles in the living area do get wet and there is only so much that we can do. Other guests have used the toilet and shower in bedroom 4, which has a garden entrance, as a communal toilet/shower, but again, with children it is difficult to persuade them not to have fun anywhere and everywhere.

Best wishes, Lou

“A Real Oasis!”
Reviewed 1 November 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We stayed at Akasa Villa with the family to celebrate the Mum's 60th and my sisters 30th. The Villa is not very close to Seminyak but it didn't seem to create too many issues, especially once we hired a scooter.

The ambience is very relaxing and private and the team were amazing - truly went above and beyond. I would highly recommend this Villa to anyone heading to Seminyak for a holiday.

Thanks for your wonderful review. It was terrific to read about your stay and that it was a successful celebration for you Mum, sisters and family.

Akasa Villa is a brisk 20 minute walk to the beach, which is fine early morning or late afternoon. Taxis are readily available and cheap. $4 + 5 minutes gets you to most places. But nothing beats a scooter if you are capable of negotiating the traffic here.

“Excellent Villa but not close to the centre of seminyak”
Reviewed 9 September 2015 for a stay in March 2015

We enjoyed our stay at Villa Akasa. The staff were fantastic and were extremely helpful with everything.
The villa is well step up and quiet however the down side is that it is not within walking distance to seminyak. You either have to taxi it or hire a scooter.
It is close to Kerobakan prison ( you can actually see it from the road that you enter the villa from) but dont let this turn you off.
The staff and the villa itself is a little hidden paradise. It is rather pricey however if you travel in a group it does reduce the cost substantially.
It is a little difficult for the taxi drivers to find so ask for a card and learn the way yourself otherwise its easy to get lost.
Would recommend it for large groups who dont wish to be close to the action.

I enjoyed reading your review and the information that you have shared with other guests.

Regarding the location it is approximately a 15 minute walk to Seminyak beach and a 5 minute taxi ride will get you to pretty much everywhere in Seminyak. Not bad for US$3.

The infamous Kerobokan prison is about 1-2 km away, and to be honest you are the first guests to remark on it. It is not in the immediate vicinity of the villa and there are no security, noise or any other issues arising from this, although most guests are curious to see it (a rather bland building with no particular features). It certainly cannot be seen from the Akasa Villa.

With 5 bedrooms Akasa is actually great value for money and compares very well with rates from hotels in Seminyak. However it is a private villa complete with lovely gardens and your own huge swimming pool. Our staff are always praised by guests and do their very best to make guests time with us memorable. They are available to book taxis, restaurants, tours, in villa massages and can even arrange a banquet in the villa if you require. At the moment the villa averages out at less than US$100 per room which we think is great value.

Occasionally people book and only require less rooms, however as a private villa the cost is the same. Indeed our very first booking was a couple on honeymoon who simply wanted an exclusive villa all to themselves. Now that is decadent!
