This was my second stay at the new and modern Amadea. It is great value for Seminyak - I paid $90 AUD a night. The location half way down Jalan Laksmana is perfect amongst great shops and restaurants, but the resort is set far back from the road so it is a peaceful oasis amongst the hustle and bustle. It's good to see that free wi-if is now available in the room (previously only reception). We were in a good sized and clean room overlooking the second more private pool. Good facilities - comfy bed, large shower, etc. Staff very friendly and helpful. B'fast adequate but a bit boring after a few days. I will be back...

Excellent Service. As with the reviews I read before coming to Amadea Resort the service is fantastic. Aryana and Arya are both happy and a pleasure to have greet you each day and throughout. This does not take anything away from the rest as they are all very happy an willing to do anything to help improve our stay.
And the little touches after our ro is cleaned by Dedhy and Agus when they make arrangements with our towels bring a smile to your face when you return each day. The little dog with my glasses was a hoot.
The pool is great and we opted for the one directly in front of the pool for a little extra and am happy we did.
If you like Seminyak this is definitely a place to stay.
Thanks to everyone at Amadea.

Initially booked this hotel based on feedback from TA. More than lived up to our expectation, great location, good rooms and wonderful staff in particular Ariya (hi from Nic, Tom and Sarah!). We experienced some problems with our room due to a severe thunderstorm, the staff moved us immediately (2 rooms as we were a party of 5) without question! Nice touch on the bill is the donation to a bali charity, only $5 and voluntary, no problem at all to help out.
The only slight disappointment was the breakfast, with a little push could be outstanding and really add to the overall quality of the place!

We would happily return and stay at the Amadea on our next trip to Bali.

Dear JeremyE,

It is our great pleasure to hear that your recent stay at Amadea was most enjoyable. Thanks for your feedback about the breakfast.

Unlike the south area of Bali, many other areas in Bali do not enjoy the benefits that tourism brings to the community. As such we initiated Amadea Cares program last February exactly on Valentine day to help bridge the gap. Most of our guest are very enthusiastic with the program and supported this initiative voluntarily. This year together with Smile Foundation of Bali we already helped to finance the operation of two patients with craniofacial disabilities from low income families. Thanks to the generous supports from our guest, including you.

We thank you for choosing us, look forward to welcoming you again in the near future.

Best regards,
Wayan

My husband and i booked last minute on Asia Rooms (day we were arriving!) we had no great expectations we arrived on 26/11/12 and only booked for 5 nights, planning to move on. We were so impressed by the whole place - Staff, location, pool & restsurant we stayed to 9/12/12!! The staff at this place are the best I have encountered anywhere in Bali, they were just fantastic, nothing was a problem and always friendly & smiling, the house keeping boys Ardi & mupu making their animal art from towels daily was very impressive :)
I recommend this place to anyone, you won't be disappointed, I will definitely be back next year!!! :) thanks to everyone at Amadea :)

My husband and I were greeted very warmly when we arrived for our one night stay. Our bags were instantly taken care of, all service staff were smiling warmly as they greeted us and welcomed us to the hotel.

Upon check-in we were notified that for an extra $15 US dollars we could upgrade to a pool-view room or to a pool level room for $25. We opted to upgrade to the pool view room at $15 extra. To our disappointment when we arrived at our room, we noticed it was overlooking the second pool (not the main one which is more beautiful). It certainly wasn't what we expected, but given the fact that we were just there for one evening we didn't complain.

It is our suggestion to the check-in staff to be more clear when telling guests what is included in the upgrade. If we had known the upgrade would include a pool-view to the secondary pool we probably wouldn't have chosed to upgrade. What if we paid $25 for the pool level room? Likely they would have sent us to a room that didn't have access to the main pool area. To be honest, the second pool isn't as cool looking as the main one. Be careful when getting the upgrade. Ask which pool they are referring to.

Otherwise the amenities are pretty good. The free breakfast offered at the hotel's retaurant is a smashing deal (buffet style). The quality of the food is on par with what you would be served anywhere else in the area. My only disappointment with the restaurant isseeing how all the waitresses wear these super short red mini dresses. It's degrading to women. And in the evening, there is a hostess who sits in front of the hotel's restaurant dressed up to the nines with super sexy high heels trying to woo customers to come in. I'm not sure how successful this ploy works but it turned me off. I didn't see other restaurants doing the same thing, so maybe this is what Amadea thinks makes them different.

Overall, I recommend this restaurant.

Room Tip: Ask the check in staff to see the room before you decided to upgrade.
