This place was amazing. If I could give it 7 stars, this place has it. Staff were helpful in doing anything we asked. Beautiful, clean accommodation so centrally located to the best places in Seminyak. My only regret was not staying long enough.

Room Tip: We stayed in Junior Suite 1 and Junior Suite 2, which were right by the tables for breakfast, drinks...

We would highly recommend The Colony Hotel. We only stayed there for 4 nights, but our experience of the hotel was fantastic. The staff could not do enough for you. The hotel itself is just a wonderful old world, small and very personal with lovely rooms. Pool area superb, on the small side but adequate. The breakfast was extremely good and should you be around for lunch, they could arrange this. Should we travel again to Bali, we would certainly choose The Colony Hotel.

The team at Colony are so friendly and accomodating. The rooms are lovely and spacious. Pool is small, but it is close to the beach. Massage is good, and service is top notch. Only a short walk to Seminyak square.

Room Tip: upstairs has a view over pool. suites are worth it

I stayed at the Colony for 4 nights late June. Loved it. Beautiful old world design, fantastic pool and in the best spot in Seminyak. Right next to Sea Circus - Fantastic food and cocktails make sure you go there for breakfast or dinner!

The staff at the Colony were fantastic and looked after everything.

Highly recommend. A great hotel, especially for the money.

My fifth time to travel to Bali -this time with my mum- I chose to stay at The Colony. And a good choice it was! It's a charming and personable all-white boutique hotel with just 20 rooms where we were welcomed with beautiful smiles, cold towels and a refreshing glass of fresh watermelon juice. A place to come alone, as a couple, but definitely also as a group of friends. The rooms are nicely appointed, clean and comfortable (we stayed in no. 12 having a spacious balcony with frontal view of the pool). Loved their bathroom amenities carrying the delightful Frangipani fragrance. We really appreciated the small touches like the fresh fruit platter and gift (will keep that a surprise:-)) upon arrival in the room as well as the fact that an IPod docking station could be made available. A DVD and magazines library are at hand as well. Breakfast was ok. Liked the fact that it stretches from 7-11am. It's lovely to enjoy it outside by the pool, whilst there is room for improvement to make the breakfast (and the pool) menu a little bit more varied and funky. I can imagine that the soon-to-open restaurant in front of the hotel will allow that improvement in the kitchen making it just that bit more special.

We had the pleasure of meeting co-owner Adrian who is a lovely guy generously sharing his knowledge of Bali with us. And then of course there is Tami & the entire Colony Hotel Team who all are very helpful and service minded. They truly went their way to make our stay at The Colony memorable! Definitely like to return to experience more of their generous hospitality!

One of the main reasons I chose The Colony is because of it's fab location in Seminyak. Okay, it's not right on the beach, but then you don't pay the prices you would if it were. It's just a short stroll away from the beach and happening places like Potatohead and Ku De Ta. A wide range of top notch and more casual restaurants are closeby too (La Lucciola, Mamasan, Metis, Petinget, Warisan, the poolbar at The Legian, etc.) and shops galore around Seminyak Square which -via a clearly signposted and non-traffic- shortcut is at walking distance as well.

Finally, can highly recommend the vip airport service offered by Tami in her e-mail when we were booking our stay. It really made our arrival at somewhat chaotic Bali airport a smooth ride.
The hotel is in contact with a network of friendly drivers who can drive you to the places you like to visit (e.g. we had a 7am departure for the gorgeous sea temple of Tanah Lot which at that hour took us a smooth ride of some 40 minutes to be back in time at The Colony for a late breakfast at 10.30am:-))
For a full daytrip to Ubud and surroundings though I can highly recommend you to get in touch with genuine and cheerful Mr Wayan Suka, who will do his utmost to let you experience more of the real Bali (+62 813 38640415, www.amansukatour.com). Seeing the sunrise over the rice paddies and experience a colourful village temple ceremony were two of the things he had in store for us ....

Happy travels to Bali with a warm recommendation to stay at The Colony!

Room Tip: Room 12 on the first floor with it's spacious balcony and frontal view of the pool is lovely.

Came to stay here as part of a wedding group. Although a little cramped around the pool, the hotel still has a spacious feel to it, the rooms are very well appointed and the staff were the best. They could not do enough for us and were discreet and efficient - all that you ask for and more!
The buildings are well designed and have a classy feel to them.
My only criticism were the banana pancakes at breakfast - definitely not that good, but I gather they are shortly expanding the "restaurant" area and this should be a big improvement.
Otherwise my stay there was faultless - so well done.
