Beautiful room, excellent food, cool sounds poolside, staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The only problem was i was only able to stay for 13 hours before my flight out=). Will definitely stay longer next time

Spent an enjoyable and relaxing 2 nights in Maca in mid-July.

The villa was reasonably spacious and very clean. Had the potential to be claustrophobic bcos of the high walls; but instead we felt like we were hidden away from the rest of the world. Which was nice. I could literally laze on the day beds all day.

Pool was really cold, though, even when sunny. Took a dip and did some laps; even so, came out within 5 minutes. So in the end it just turned out to be a large water feature.

Service was great. They offered to iron my 2 shirts for free. It was also my birthday and they gave a free cake + 4 staff sang a birthday song at night which was a nice surprise and welcome gesture.

Breakfast was normal. Wide selection. Won't leave you hungry. There's also complimentary afternoon tea, which was alright.

The entire compound has a very 'secret garden' feel to it. Very lush; very green: very natural (ie not manicured) with a lot of sights, smells, and sounds of nature. That's what we appreciated the most.

Recommended!

Great service, friendliness and helpfulness with very request we made. Great facilities - Privacy and solitude abound for that relaxing break. Very roomy, clean and pleasant accommodations. Great value spa treatments! Good food at very reasonable prices and had 24 hour room service. Although out of the way a bit the staff were always willing to give us a ride to Seminyak central and other nearby places. We loved having breakfast out the front to watch the Bali streetscape and world go by. If every accommodation were like Maca Villas and Spa there would be no need ever for a site like Trip Advisor. No one would ever need to make a bad review again. After some places I have stayed at this was such a pleasant relief!

My husband and I stayed here for 7 nights during our honeymoon. The villas are out of this world and the staff could not do anymore for you if they tried. They event set up the TV in our room so we could watch the works cup! The rooms are extremely clean and there were do many nice touches on arrival such as a cake, flowers and a rose petal bath. The breakfast is delicious with so much to choose from. The free afternoon tea consisting of tea/coffee and snacks such as vegetable crudités, chicken skewers was a lovely bonus. The staff were extremely helpful in helping us book trips and restaurants and were always very keen to hear about your day. We had cookery lesson with chef Wayan who spent the majority of the day helping us cook a 3 course Balinese meal by the pool and even took us to the market all for about £35 each. The ska treatments were great but quite expensive compared to other places in Bali. This was a truly magical place to stay and a great base from which to explore bali. The beach was about 15 mins away by car but the roads were too busy to be able to walk there. There are lots if great bars nearby such as at the w retreat hotel and would recommend eating at Bambu if you get a chance.

I would get booking to stay here right away!!!

We would highly recommend this accommodation as it was the perfect place to relax. We would like to thank all the staff for being so helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The villas were serviced twice a day and there was an never ending supply of bottled water. An added extra was the free afternoon tea which was absolutely delicious ( no cucumber sandwiches here). Having a private pool was just a great way to relax. Would say that it was more suitable for couples rather than families as it is situated on a busy road. Overall, a wonderful experience.
If in the area, would recommend that you try the Bambu restaurant.

We went to maca for 7 nights for our honeymoon. We stayed in a pool villa.

It's was amazing and perfect for honeymooners! We loved how quiet and private the villas were, breakfast in our room was brilliant. They also had a free shuttle into town at set times and afternoon tea every afternoon!

All the staff were so helpful and friendly. I would def recommend to anyone wanting to relax and chilled holiday!!

It's also not far from lots of amazing restaurants although the road they are on does not have a great pavement!

We stayed 3 nights in a one bedroom deluxe villa (number 25). The villa itself is lovely, absolutely true to professional photos. The pool is a decent size and at the deepest 1.4m, nice to have the cabana too. As others have noted the staff here are wonderful, polite friendly and quick to action my single request. The location of this property is great, quiet, away from downtown chaos but close to good restaurants (e.g. Sarong, Sardine), bars (e.g. Potato Head) and close to Seminyak shopping. Breakfast can be served in your villa or at Mase, and if you want room service otherwise the prices are very very reasonable (unlike some high end chains where room service prices are offensive). If you want total privacy, this is it. I get the feeling that the villas would suit couples more than families. The only suggestion I have to improve is to upgrade the bath towels. We will definitely be back to Maca Villas!
