We stayed for 3 nights in August 2012. As we only paid around $70 per night, including breakfast, we expected very little. We were, however, pleasantly surprised and look forward to returning in 2013!

Pluses
Clean functional room
Great location to many pubs (loved Santa Fe) and massages

Minuses
Towels were not completely white and the shower water pressure wasn't strong enough

We stayed in a balcony room and had no problems with noise. The breakfast may not have a great variety but for less than $70 a night we expected this. It was still delicious and we looked forward to it every morning!

We stayed for 5 nights and knew it was a budget hotel but were still disappointed with the experience. Based on suggestions from Tripadvisor reviews, we asked for a quiet room but it was still very noisy. The main room door is hollow core and all the corridor noise, of which there is plenty, came straight through. The corridors are all hard surfaces of tiles and concrete with no noise dampening. Our room rate included breakfast but was so basic and poorly presented (the coffee was undrinkable), we chose to pay and eat elsewhere. An open grated drain runs beside the driveway and foul smells waft through reception, the pool area and the restaurant. The pool is tiny and the water cold and the pool furniture consists of a couple of wet and dirty bean bags. Pool towels were mostly not available and we had to use our bath towels. On the positive side, in our room, the bed was very comfortable and the free WiFi reliable and fast. The staff tried hard but seemed to lack basic training. I do not think this hotel is an option at any price.

Dear Jeffnkaz,
I sincerely apologize for the disappointment you experienced during your stay, mostly related to noise. Our project team has looked for continuous improvement to reduce noise disturbance both resulted from outside of the hotel and within the hotel corridor. One of the effort completed was installing the glass window on the lift landing, which was proved to help reducing the impact from outside noise. Should guest need better comfort, we also provide earplug at reception at no cost. To answer our guest feedback about breakfast, we have provided affordable Breakfast a la carte, with selection of hash brown, sliced cheese, pancakes with syrup, beef bacon, chicken or beef sausage, bread basket, selection of cereals with milk and selection of juices. Our waiter or waitress on duty will be pleased to serve you. I am glad that you enjoyed the area of Seminyak, our staffs and services. I hope that this experience does not deter you to stay back with us. Best Regards, Komang Artana

I stayed there for 3 nights with friends. It's a new budget hotel, decent room, and clean. The food is just ok for breakfast (we didnt have lunch or dinner there, but why would we ?). The staffs are friendly and helpful. But the hotel was full at that time we were there, so it took us quite long to get a service from hotel staff. The location is perfect. There is a minimart right in front of the hotel, in case you need anything. And there are many good restaurant near the hotel. Taxi is also very easy to get.

Anyway, it is a budget hotel. I only used it for bed and breakfast, as we were going out the whole day to enjoy and experience and Bali. When we came back at almost midnight, they had cleaned the room. I paid $40 nett / breakfast incl. It is a highly recommended budget hotel...

Bed sheets were dirty and had marks on them when we checked in. very noisy we could not sleep at night, There are more than 250 rooms! And they don't pay attention to any enquiry. Room service and reception never pick up the phone. The toilet was not cleaned when we checked in! The safe wasnt working. Bathroom sink had lot of cracks and the list goes on. Remember the hotel is only 1 year old!

FaveHotels are a known budget hotel chain and as a budget hotel chain you get a small room which is very clean and has a comfortable bed - which might be sufficient for people who are planning on spending all of their time out partying or surfing.

However, the lack of soundproofing is the main problem especially when combined with the tiled floors which seem to amplify any noises in the corridors outside. Plus they hire a live band to play in the downstairs bar and it was louder than my television on the second floor.

Another let-down was the lack of twenty-four hour room service which was a little surprising but I suppose you get what you pay for.

As a light sleeper if the FaveHotel was empty and quiet then I'd say it's a great bargain.. however given your experience depends entirely on factors outside of your control (such as loud neighbours or a live band) I'd probably try and give it a miss and aim for a hotel which can offer a more consistent night's sleep.

Room Tip: If you plan on sleeping early then definitely choose a room higher up to avoid the sound from the mu...

Thank you so much for writing this review. This hotel is located in a great night life area. For a quiet area, we recommend our sister fave hotel Umalas, also located in Seminyak but surrounded by rice fields instead of clubs and restaurants.

decided to to try this new hotel for 3 nights 28 sept -1 Oct 2012. nice new hotel, clean, location is very good, in the middle of hectic Seminyak. walking distance to almost everythings like you can read in anyone reviews. the staffs were young, at first she can not give us a near room for 2 rooms i booked for me and my parents. after a looong talk, then she gave us rooms in one floor, yeah better than got a different floors. as i bring my baby, we can ask for a free baby cot but we have to bay his towel. good breakfast for an Indonesian taste, everyday changed the menu so we didn't feel bored, there also an egg station where you can order egg as you like. there are a basement to park our rental car with a good staff.
the minus : there are some gap between glass window with the FAVE HOTEL sign that we across everytime we walk from the lift to the room, it is very dangerous for walking baby and toddler as they can slip into it and falling down to the road.
then, the water is PINK. can you imagine a pink water running from the tap? when we asked the staff they said it's the local water company doing some repairment. i live in Indonesia forever and never get a pink water from the company. the joke is, they make it pink so it can be matched with all the pink themed hotel color :P
will i stay again? probably, with its location, cleanliness and breakfast in a cheap price.

Room Tip: if you bring kids, be careful with the upper rooms

Thanks for your kind review. We will add additional fences to the glass window to ensure guest
safety. Pink water has never happened to us before as well…We do have filters set up on all pipes
to sift out any sediment from the government’s water supply but I assure you its not to change the
color to pink
