Overall the stay was a positive one. Went here with two kids aged 3 & 5 and had the 2 bdr villa. We were in the Sunset villas. The layout was fantastic for kids and families, with heaps of room. The rooms are quite a distant apart, so take a baby monitor if travelling with littlies.Did feel a bit of maintenance was required, i.e toilet kept running and sometimes wouldnt flush, window screens in bathroom allowed mozzies in, hot water was sometimes missing for shower, and one of the villas in the complex was privately owned with a dog that would not shut up. Had friends staying in one of the 3 bdrm villa which was absolutely lovely, and the pool in the 3 bdr was great as it had a shallow section suitable for kids, where as our pool was just quite deep.
But all in all, this was a great villa to be in, and if your travelling with kids it definitely ticks the boxes of clean and secure. Bathrooms of the 2 bdrm villa certainly have a wow factor! Maybe a bit pricey compared to some villa stays though.

Room Tip: Sunset villas are separate, make sure you take a business card from reception, or taxis will take yo...

Dear Greasymjae--

Thanks for reviewing us on TripAdvisor and for your valuable feedback! We are always striving to improve The Villas and most of the issues you mention have already been updated since your visit in 2010. Actually, the swimming pools in our two bedroom Villas do have a small shallow area...but of course, the three bedroom Villa pools are larger with a larger shallow area.

Please come back and us visit soon and don't forget to join our Return Guest Loyalty Program for special discounts and benefits available by direct booking only.

We recently stayed at the villas on our first visit to Bali. We went with my parents and our 2 young children (2.5 years and a6month old). We had a 2 bedroom villa in the sunset villas complex. On arrival we were greeted with a lovely glass of juice and taken to our villa which turned out to be a 3 bedroom villa. The pool and gardens were huge, the bedrooms were big and freezing cold from the air con (which was lovely!!) and the bathrooms were beautiful.
The staff were absolutely incredible, wonderful with the kids and happy to accommodate our every need. I can't speak highly enough of them.
We had breakfast included in our package and we would have a chef and attendant in our kitchen every morning making our choice of delicious breakfasts. We did try the restaurant one morning which was also good but the convenience of breakfast in our room at whatever time we wanted was too good to pass up!
Our villa in the sunset village was really close to the main road of seminyak (150m) and bintang supermarket so we could stock up on snacks and drinks. We always got our taxi driver to drop us off at bintang supermarket and just walked back to our villa as we found some taxis didn't find our villas (not a problem to walk the 2 mins even with bags of shopping, a sleeping baby and a grumpy toddler).
When we go back to Bali, we will definitely be staying at the villas. I can't rate it high enough :)

Room Tip: We stayed in the sunset villas, #34 it was huge and we will definitely ask for it again!

On my second visit to Bali I stayed at the villas, Seminyak, the most amazing place I have honestly ever been. The service was amazing, the cleanliness and comfort of the place was second to none, I asked and they delivered (always with a smile). They even go as far as assisting you to cross the road!

I stayed with my entire family (13 people) and found the 3 bedroom villa a great central meeting place to enjoy each others company and have a swim. Privacy was no issue as each bedroom has it own luxurious bathroom.

thank you to all the staff at the villas, they made our trip amazing, and I am sure they will do the same again for my wedding in 2013!

Room Tip: if your travelling with a few others share a 2 or 3 bedroom villa, you will still have alot of priva...

My husband and I sent 1 week in a 1 bedroom villa. It was nothing like we'd ever experienced before... From the moment we walked through our villa door and saw the wonderful private pool we had to our selves and the calming music being played on the cd player we knew this was the only way to finish our wonderful honeymoon in Bali!!! The staff were so helpful and cooked a fab breakfast in our villa most mornings. Actually some of the kindest people we've met!!
Hopefully we will return one day!

Many thanks for your kind words and feedback about our beautiful staff...they really are amazing! Having breakfast prepared and served in your Villa is nice, isn't it? But also nice sometimes to wander into Prana Courtyard and enjoy breakfast at our award winning restaurant (all included with your booking).

The villas are amazing, from the moment we got there we were amazed at the size of the pool and all the room we had, which is great when you want to relax after a day shopping in Bali. The staff were always friendly, the restaurant is yummo, cold beer, great cocktails. The spa is fab, overall a excellent place to stay and would definitely stay there again!

My family and I spent a week in a 3-bedroom Villa and what a Villa - OMG, wow, incredible, awesome and to wake up each day, walk out of your room and jump into a large and private pool is a great way to start the day.

From the time we were picked up from the airport at 11pm to when we were dropped off 12 days later, the service and stay were just amazing.

We have a 1 year old and they couldn't have done more to accommodate her i.e. high chair, safety fence, cot, nets, child seat in taxi and babysitting services to give us adults some well-earned alone time.

Regarding service, we were blown away at the extra mile everyone went to. We had an incident where we left our mobile phone in a taxi on the way to dinner. During dinner we joked that finding it again was never going to happen and how silly we had been. When we got back and mentioned it to the security guard on the way to our Villa, he informed us that all taxi's that pick you up from the Villas are recorded. We couldn't believe our good fortune. The night manager came over with another assistant, there was a fever of activity and phone calls and 30 minutes later, we got a call from reception saying that they had just spoken to the taxi driver by mobile phone and we would see our phone again in the morning

We will be back....

Room Tip: Get one set back from the main road. While not loud, it's still a little noisey...

Our family of 5 spent 10 days in a very quiet villa away from the busy road. We were thrilled with the traditional Balinese furniture, open air living areas with high thatched roof, huge tropical gardens and pool, creating a magical atmosphere. All three bedrooms were separate, with their own en suits. The staff were very warm friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend The Villas
