“A tropical oasis”
Reviewed 22 March 2013

We stayed at The Villas for 6 nights and found it very enjoyable and relaxing. The staff were extremely helpful and our one-bedroom villa, in the original group close to the office, had every comfort – TV (2), CD and DVD players, fridge and kitchen area, good air-conditioning and excellent private pool and garden.

The staff came to cook our breakfast at the villa on one morning, which is an option, but on balance we preferred not to have to nominate a specific time, and otherwise went to the restaurant each morning, which is very pleasant. Really strange that the management doesn’t make any effort to promote dinner in the restaurant. Room service and mini-bar rates are very reasonable. One thing which was totally baffling and went against the grain, however, is that for a second cup of coffee at breakfast one was required to pay! A large printed card standing on the table actually invited you to have a second cup – and pay. Only the equivalent of about £1.25, but it’s the principle – I have had breakfast in dozens and dozens of hotels around the world and have never had to pay for a second cup of coffee. This place isn’t cheap, but breakfast coffee excepted, you get what you pay for.

We used the Spa for an excellent 2 hour massage, provided at very reasonable price for residents with a 50% discount.

The location of The Villas is quite convenient, but not handy for the beach if that is important for you. There are many cheap restaurants to choose from in the general area and just across the road is the excellent Bali Deli for all groceries, beer and wine – it also has its own restaurant.

Dear officeadmin,

Thank you for taking the time to share your recent holiday experience on Tripadvisor and fantastic to hear that you really enjoyed your time with us. Love your heading which completely sums up a holiday in our villas!

Our villas do make for a wonderful relaxing holiday and we are pleased to hear that you had the chance to not only enjoy your villa and pool but also Prana spa and Restaurant. Great that you also really enjoyed our location which is so handy for many of the wonderful things that Seminyak and Bali have to offer.

Breakfast is a holiday highlight for so many of our guests and is such a fantastic way to start the day either by your own pool or in Prana restaurant. We provide plunger coffee as part of your breakfast and in Prana Restaurant can also offer a cappuccino, latte, long black, flat whites etc. A second cup of cappuccino, latte, long black or flat white is available in Prana restaurant if this is your preference – of course plunger coffee is provided at no extra cost.

Thank you again for your recommendation and comments – it was our pleasure to have you stay with us. We do offer great benefits to return guests so please check our website for details on this when you are next planning a holiday to Bali.

I've just returned from a girls' holiday in Bali. We spent 4 nights, 5 days at The Villas in Seminyak and I was so impressed I had to write a review to share my experiences. During previous holidays to Bali and Thailand I'd always stayed at a hotel so this was my first villa experience.
As there were 7 of us, we had originally booked 2 x 2 bedroom villas, however on arrival we decided to upgrade to 2 x 3 bedroom villas at an affordable cost, giving us a lot more space. The Villas were located within the original part of the complex, walking distance from Prana Yoga and Spa, the Bali Deli and Chill Reflexology. The combination of the privacy of our villas and the accessibility to shops worked perfectly for us. The Villas were beautiful. While not new, they were impeccably clean with plenty of space and everything you could want was either located within the villa or a phone call away. I loved having a private pool. I also loved the concept of a living space and bathroom partially open to the elements but with a bedroom that was always in air conditioned comfort. The customer service was the best I've ever had. Staff at The Villas went above and beyond to help with any request, they were so friendly and just lovely people. Rooms were cleaned daily with an additional turn down service in the evening. Breakfast was great whether served in the villa or the restaurant. The room service menu was delicious. Hands down the best experience I've ever had and the next trip to Bali will definitely include another stay at this beautiful place.

Dear CKA2,

We just love hearing fantastic feedback such as yours and it really does put a smile on our faces when we know that we helped make your holiday fabulous!

Cant think of a better place to relax and recharge with friends than in our 2 and 3 bedroom villas and great thinking to upgrade and give yourselves even more space. We are one of the original villa/hotel accommodation options in Bali and when you stay in our villas you feel like you are in Bali. The large gardens and pool combined with beautiful villa are the right ingredient to a perfect holiday.

We are so lucky to have an amazing team that really do want to make your holiday spectacular and really nothing is ever too much trouble. Smiles and warm caring personalities come naturally and our team are our real asset so thank you for acknowledging our efforts.

We do also pride ourselves on our high standards of cleanliness and professionalism so thank you for noticing and for making comment on these.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience on Tripadvisor and for your recommendation. We look forward to welcoming you and your friends in the future and for your next visit, please refer to our website for some great return guest and loyalty benefits for direct bookings.

So we were a bunch of 6 and a kid, booked a three bedroom villa. Super beautiful villa just close to the main street of Seminyak. Perfect location as the villa is nice and quiet but you're very close to the main street. The pool, panty, dining, rooms, all of it was just excellent! Just make sure you have enough mosquito repellents and all's well. There are 24x7 mini markets around so food / drinks etc is never a problem. The guys who come to make and serve breakfast for you are fairly okay. We had a bit of a problem one day but when we spoke to the Manager, everything got sorted. We carried some ready to eat food as some of the friends are vegetarians but food is really not much of an issue in Bali and we hardly used it. The villa we stayed in is separate from the main property and had a nice green garden and it was all very beautiful when it rained. The spa was great ... also since it was complimentary for us. Overall a great place to stay!

This place makes you feel like you are Queen of Sheeba. You have your own large private pool,You walk into a completely private area, landscaped beautifully with lush green trees, flowers and shrubs.
The living area is outdoors but the bedrooms are indoors and airconditioned. The bathrooms were large and had open windows (ie no glass- just an opening to outside) looking out onto a small private garden area. (no-one can see in) When we arrived we thought it would be odd having the shared area only outdoors and were worried about mosquitos. However, they spray for mosquitos twice a week and have lots of cintronella candles etc to make sure you are highly unlikely to get bitten by anything.
You choose what you would like for breakfast and what time, then they come and cook it for you at your villa. ( our breakfast usually included- omolette or poached egg on toast, baked beans on hash brown, roast tomato. Freshly squeezed juice of our choice, freshly cut fruits, croissants & danishes, toasts jams etc and whatever type of coffee or tea you wanted. ( it was a lot so if you didn't want it all you could just put it in your fridge for later)You could also choose from pancakes or japanese style breakfasts or muesli type breakies. Breakfasts were included in the cost. You walk into a completely private area, landscaped beautifully with lush green trees, flowers and shrubs.
The Prana Spa is also amazing and most service were discounted by 50% for guests who stay at the villas.
There are 3 sets of villas. The original ones are closest to the spa, yoga centre and restaurant. We were told these had mostly 1 bedroom villas and a round pool and were first to be built. The second set are close by where chill reflexology is and apparently have the 3 bedroom villas. Ours were the furthest away from the main road. They were the newest and supposedly the greenest and quietest. They had a mix of 1, 2 & 3 bedroom villas. I would happily go back to them as they provided a free shuttle to the main road or prana spa whenever we wanted. This was not a timetabled shuttle. They had lots of vans/shuttles and drivers and we would just have to ask and one would be there for us in a few minutes. (no cost) During the day it was not far to walk to the main road but at night because you have to go through alleys i would prefer the shuttle.
Taxis were also extremely inexpensive for wherever else you want to go. For example we took a taxi to noosa dua- about 30-45 min away, it cost $9. Closer by our taxi fares were 90cents to $2.50.
The staff were all lovely, friendly and helpful. We would love to go back.

Stay Feb21-24th 2013. We were a group of 12 who stayed three nights in two three bed pool villas in the sunset area. I booked the place since I had been there before and the rest of the group were really happy with the villas. The rooms, pantry and dining areas were very well maintained with a beautiful pool to match. The open area inside the villa compound was a welcome change as compared to our usual stag trips in regular hotels where one of the rooms ultimately resemble an underground club with the smoke and liquor packed inside the air conditioned room. All in all a great place to holiday in Bali

We stayed at the Villas last year for the second time and we still love it to death! This time we were put in the section that is furthest away from 'the main drag' (Bali deli etc) and, as we had stayed there before, we asked to be moved to the other, older section. While it was nice to be able to walk out to the deli and the spas etc, I did find the older villas to be, well, older. A little bit more run down and smaller than the others. But otherwise I can't complain. Love the pool, love the service - nothing is too much trouble, ever - the breakfasts were good quality and we could park our motorbike by our front gate! (I think the staff thought we were mad as we roared back and forth lol.) Seminyak is definitely the pick of where to stay in Bali but if people want to be near to the beach, then this is not the place for you.

Our villas, pool, location and certainly breakfasts are a holiday highlight for many guests and it is fantastic that these are a standout for you as well. We do pride ourselves on our attention to detail and service and we are very lucky to have a team that really want you to have a great holiday.
We do have villas located in 3 areas and we are happy to note a preference when booking. We have many return guests who prefer one area over another and vice verse and there is certainly no good or bad villa or location – it simply boils down to personal preference.
We really look forward to welcoming you again and don’t forget we offer terrific benefits to our return guests who book directly so have a look at our website and join our Loyalty program for when you next stay.
