My husband and myself stayed at the D' Penjor for 7 nights and we totally blown away by the resort and the service. The staff at the resort were so welcoming and caring genuinely! Always looking out for the best interests of those staying at the resort- even remembering all guest names- which is a nicer personal touch! The staff are easy to talk to and especially bonded with Eva, Dio and Yanti who have such great customer service (the are very sweet and kind hearted!) Upon entering our room we were impressed by the size of the room, we stayed in a superior room on the second floor- which i recommend if you like to have your own private balcony overlooking the pool area (it is a little more private also). The room was clean with a well appointed fridge (bigger than mini bar size). our bed was super comfy, with soft sheets. on our first night i had a shower and the pressure in the shower was not working so well, upon ringing reception they got an engineer to look at it, within 5mins they called back and we checked shower again and it was fixed and working really well. So staff at this hotel are super efficient at any request. We loved having breakfast served fresh every morning (as opposed to buffet breakfasts hotels which we figured is cooked and then kept standing) they gave us a call every morning at the time we had requested breakfast to be served the night before. We were also given the option to choose from any breakfast style we wanted (American, European or Indonesian). one morning my husband went down to breakfast without me as i had a little stomach issue, and the manager was very kind in letting my husband know that she would provide me with some coconut water to help with my stomach, this was nice. We also loved the fact that the resort was out of the main busy area of Seinyak but still only a 10minute walk from the main shopping strips in Seminyak. We would walk into town and then catch a taxi back which cost min 30,000Rupah taxi drive ($3)- the hotel can even order you a taxi to pick up at the hotel. The pool area is well maintained and open till 11pm at night, which was great for a private night swim. It was always easy to get a sun lounge during the day by the pool without hassle. We also indulged in 3 massages, which we had the option of having in our room or by the pool. We had them by the pool in a outdoor alfresco area which had curtains for privacy from other staying guests. We preferred the massages at the resort as to the cheap nasty ones on the street. I defiantly recommend this resort to all travelling to Bali. It is a boutique hotel/resort which has a friendly personal touch. Loved it and would definitely stay again!
