Absolutely gorgeous villa!!! This was a house built and decorated for the owner to live in initially before it was rented out and therefore feels very homely as opposed to your more stock standard, sterile holiday rentals. The garden is wonderful for the kids to run around in and even has a tree house at the back!! the villa is set well back from the Batu Belig road which is an awful road but then most Balinese roads are! It is very narrow and very dangerous to walk on. In fairness, they are in the process of building a footpath which should be finished soon. Didn't rate the beach which is black and steep. Not as nice as Legion and Kuta. Wayan the house keeper was absolutely wonderful and looked after us fantastically!

Thanks for this great review which will be very useful for future visitors. We all looking foreword to have the new footpath finished at the end of June 2016 to make better access to surrounding shops and restaurants. I do have to clarify that Batu Belig Beach has NOT black sand , but is at this moment in bad stated caused by the high tide at the start of June 2016. It will debatable is Kuta / Legian Beach has more to offer as its less then 1 Km distance from Batu belig Beach. Depending of choice of crowded beaches or the calmer Batu Belig beach with local Balinese Warungs and more child friendly.

“A beautiful Villa just outside the hectic shopping district”
Reviewed 19 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

The villa is on toward the beach end of Batu Belig. A short stroll to the beach passing a few excellent cafe's and shops. Seminyak Village is a 30,000 IDR taxi fare. Wayan the house keeper is wonderful and cannot do enough for you during your stay. The garden and pool is just like the photo. We had a wonderful stay!!!

“Great stay in Villa Di Uma and feel like at home”
Reviewed 27 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We have a great stay and we enjoy our holidays in Villa Di Uma.
Our children love the swimming pool and so do we!
All the rooms are big enough and with the private bathroom in each room it’s very convenient.
It’s better than stay in the hôtel because we have the same services (cleaning and breakfast everyday) with our intimacy.
Pick up a the airport is a good idea because is stressless for us at the arrival after a long trip and it was fast.
Wayan was very helpful and very kind.

All the commodity is near the Villa like restaurants, money changer, supermarket, massage and it's easy to pick a taxi.

The only things it was the wifi not enough for all of us and not strong enough but just a detail!

“Very nice and quiet villa”
Reviewed 6 August 2013 for a stay in July 2013

This villa lies about 50 meters down an alley from Batu Belig. There are actually two equal villas, house number 3 and 4, we stayed in number 4. The villa is very nice, and just as described by the owners, with three large bedrooms, each with its own large bathroom, and kitchen and livingroom downstairs. It is very nice, with the garden and pool, and very quiet, no noise from the traffic in Batu Belig. But it is aging, and soon demands some renovation. There is a small TV and 3G based wifi, it works slowly.
The housekeeper Komang is marvellous, she makes breakfast, do the shopping and helps you with whatever you need. She can arrange a car with driver for about 500K Rp per day. There are lots of small restaurants in Batu Belig, all of them serving very good Indonesian food, and only 10 min walk to the beach. If you are interested in spa, there are lots of them also in Batu Belig. And all the people in Bali are very friendly. On the downside, the comfort of the beds are not very good, but it's not a big problem. The villa can be highly recommended.

Thank you for the valued comments for villa Di Uma II and hope to seen soon in Bali again. We recently change the TV in a larger flat screen and have new TV operator with more international channels. When internet is slow in Bali it effecting all internet providers. But normally the internet at villa Di Uma is fast enough to use Skype and all other browsers.

“Fantastic... absolutely fantastic!!!”

The villa was amazing! The property was exactly the way it looked in the pictures. Beautiful garden with your own private pool and a covered cabana. Our caretaker, Wayan, was the best. She helped us find a driver, took care of all of our needs. She just made the entire vacation perfect. If you want to have a relaxing, worry-free, tropical vacation, you should stay at the Villa di Uma. We didn't even want to leave the villa to go on our excursions, it was just perfect.

“Quiet and peaceful villa”
Reviewed 4 July 2013 for a stay in June 2013

This review is for villa no. 4. Booking the villa is easy and Dewi, from Bali Arrangements, is prompt and helpful with any enquiries.

Komang and her family are beautiful, they keep the gardens, pool and villa spotless. We stayed for 4 weeks and really enjoyed our holiday. Komang looks after all your needs, I don't recall ever seeing her without a smile. All 3 bedrooms are large, air conditioned and have good sized ensuites. Beds are single mattresses pushed together. Lounge and dining area fit 6 people comfortably. Pool and garden are great for relaxing, as is the upstairs balcony. Satellite channels are basic, with very little to watch and it is a medium size old rear projection TV. We used the DVD player most nights. It has a gas two burner cooktop and a good size fridge. As listed, there is no oven or microwave.

It is in a quiet location, nestled in with 9 other villas and close to the beach. You can walk to Seminyak Square by the beach easily. Getting to Kuta, Legian etc will require a taxi but generally no more then 50,000 Rp max. There are some great restaurants in easy walking distance. Turn left at the end of the street and there's Watercress for breakfast/brunch/lunch. Naughty Nuri's for ribs and cocktails. Sobats with a western, indonesian and Italian menu. Madonnas for breakfast/brunch/lunch and a Tapas place that looks interesting (was just opening as we left). Turn right and you immediately have Warung Satya indonesian food and some basic western food. Warung Dukah 2 with pasta, pizza and indonesian. Warung Ethnic with an international and indonesian menu. Further down Batu Belig is Warung Cobek, my favourite with the cheapest and best indonesian food on the street. The Pavilion was just opening after renovations and had live music. Restaurants like Sardine, Sarong, Starfish Bloo and Potato Head are all a short taxi ride away.

If you need a driver, we highly recommend Dewa, who can be arranged via Komang.

Overall a great value for price holiday experience.

“Lovely private villa”
Reviewed 19 April 2013 for a stay in November 2012

We stayed in this villa in November 2012, a family of four... two teenagers. It was perfect! Two HUGE rooms upstairs with their own ensuite each and another room downstairs for us which opens out to the lounge room and pool.
Very quiet location down a gang off Batu Belig, perfect retreat after a day of activities or shopping!
Naughty Nuris was a 5 minute walk down the road was fantastic place for dinner as was Sobat which was only 2 minutes walk.
Wayan was fantastic, she made amazing breakfasts and was there when you needed but not intrusive at all.
We would stay here again!

Liked best: Quiet retreat with a balinese feel which we preferred..... we dont like the big chain resort accommodation.
Liked least: Sometimes traffic into Kuta was very busy, need to time your trips in and out, avoid peak times.
