Our holiday stay at villa Di Uma could' be better from the start till the end with at the start the airport pick up wit the driver Ketut who became our guide during our stay and showed us the greatest spots on the islands
on half day tours at reasonable prices.
Villa Di Uma has beautiful Balinese furniture made the holiday feeling complete , and especially not to forget the house keeper Wayan who looked day end and night after us and is also a great cook.
We mostly loved the great garden , but could not walk that often as we been unlucky with the weather, but we will return in the future

“Beautiful Spacious Villa in Great Location”
Reviewed 10 December 2016 for a stay in December 2016

This villa looks beautiful and is in a great location to stay in because it is close to the beach and quiet but still very close to main Seminyak area of restaurants plus the trendy Canggu area on the other side from Batu Belig. By renting both Uma I and Uma II, it easily accommodates eight adults and four children. The 707 beach bar is only a 5 minute walk for watching sunsets and even though it is rather rainy lately, luckily the sunset still normally has appeared. The villa also has large garden areas to enjoy and relax with friends and family.

“Check yo Location”
Reviewed 1 December 2016 for a stay in November 2016

The Villa itself is very Balinese, open kitchen, lounge and dinning opening out to the medium (looked bigger in the pictures) pool, HUGE garden (looked smaller in the pictures, haha). The kitchen is quite small but we didn't really cook - our housekeeper made us breakfast. The lounge room is quite comfy with dvd player available although the tv could use an upgrade as it is quite small. The garden is beautiful with natural plants all throughout, kids would love it. It has a cubby house but was used for storage. I'm sure if you ask they would clean it out although I'm not sure how stable the stairs are. Since there was only 2 of us we chose the upstairs rooms. The stairs though was one of our major worries, luckily we never fell down then as they don't have rails. They are also very squeaky and could use a bit of maintenance on them. Upstairs had a nice sitting area before the two bedrooms. One of the bedrooms had beautiful windows and the second had a sitting area that looked onto the villa's garden. Standard bathrooms but quite large but the shower desperately needs a makeover. Aircon's were okay - most other utilities were standard. Internet was okay but not the fastest.
Our housekeeper was amazing though, she is a beautiful lady who helped us with whatever we needed and got to know her quite well over our stay. One day she even jumped out of the shower to call us a taxi. Could not recommend her higher. Cleaned very well and would always make our breakfast as soon as we came downstairs. We didn't actually know that she lived on the side of the villa in her own personal house but later found it quite comforting and safe.

The location was not something WE were looking for as it is quite away from shops and restaurants. The footpaths were absolutely terrible but we totally understand that it is not the villas fault. During our stay they were getting fixed and one night our taxi couldn't even take us back to our villa so we had to walk - was not a good night. Hopefully they are fixed now! There are a few dogs in the alley that got us quite frightened but they became used to us and would no longer bark when we walked by. There is a convenient shop right across the road which is excellent. It was a quiet alley down a local street which didn't make too much noise (except for the construction on the roads). Taxis do drive past but be warned, some scam. There is a beach about 10 minutes down the path but didn't look very touristy - then again, some people like that.
Would we ever stay here again? No - we didn't like the location and obviously didn't do our research about where it was. Would we recommend it to others? Yes, if they liked that about Bali.

Thanks for the great review waht is usefully for future visitors . We will pass on the news to the owner to get larger TV, but the stair case should be no issue as it only has no rail at the first meters . The new path is now completed and safe walk to the beach what should only take 5 or 6 minutes. The area is loved by most by visitors who love the local warungs Pantai ,Cantina and wel know crowded beach bars La laguna and 707 . Batu Belig has many restaurants to please every one from the most famous warung Sobat and international restaurants Watercress and Bow . We have now also the large supermarket Popular schopping center at only 500 meters distance from the villa

Absolutely gorgeous villa!!! This was a house built and decorated for the owner to live in initially before it was rented out and therefore feels very homely as opposed to your more stock standard, sterile holiday rentals. The garden is wonderful for the kids to run around in and even has a tree house at the back!! the villa is set well back from the Batu Belig road which is an awful road but then most Balinese roads are! It is very narrow and very dangerous to walk on. In fairness, they are in the process of building a footpath which should be finished soon. Didn't rate the beach which is black and steep. Not as nice as Legion and Kuta. Wayan the house keeper was absolutely wonderful and looked after us fantastically!

Thanks for this great review which will be very useful for future visitors. We all looking foreword to have the new footpath finished at the end of June 2016 to make better access to surrounding shops and restaurants. I do have to clarify that Batu Belig Beach has NOT black sand , but is at this moment in bad stated caused by the high tide at the start of June 2016. It will debatable is Kuta / Legian Beach has more to offer as its less then 1 Km distance from Batu belig Beach. Depending of choice of crowded beaches or the calmer Batu Belig beach with local Balinese Warungs and more child friendly.

“A beautiful Villa just outside the hectic shopping district”
Reviewed 19 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

The villa is on toward the beach end of Batu Belig. A short stroll to the beach passing a few excellent cafe's and shops. Seminyak Village is a 30,000 IDR taxi fare. Wayan the house keeper is wonderful and cannot do enough for you during your stay. The garden and pool is just like the photo. We had a wonderful stay!!!

“Great stay in Villa Di Uma and feel like at home”
Reviewed 27 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We have a great stay and we enjoy our holidays in Villa Di Uma.
Our children love the swimming pool and so do we!
All the rooms are big enough and with the private bathroom in each room it’s very convenient.
It’s better than stay in the hôtel because we have the same services (cleaning and breakfast everyday) with our intimacy.
Pick up a the airport is a good idea because is stressless for us at the arrival after a long trip and it was fast.
Wayan was very helpful and very kind.

All the commodity is near the Villa like restaurants, money changer, supermarket, massage and it's easy to pick a taxi.

The only things it was the wifi not enough for all of us and not strong enough but just a detail!

“Very nice and quiet villa”
Reviewed 6 August 2013 for a stay in July 2013

This villa lies about 50 meters down an alley from Batu Belig. There are actually two equal villas, house number 3 and 4, we stayed in number 4. The villa is very nice, and just as described by the owners, with three large bedrooms, each with its own large bathroom, and kitchen and livingroom downstairs. It is very nice, with the garden and pool, and very quiet, no noise from the traffic in Batu Belig. But it is aging, and soon demands some renovation. There is a small TV and 3G based wifi, it works slowly.
The housekeeper Komang is marvellous, she makes breakfast, do the shopping and helps you with whatever you need. She can arrange a car with driver for about 500K Rp per day. There are lots of small restaurants in Batu Belig, all of them serving very good Indonesian food, and only 10 min walk to the beach. If you are interested in spa, there are lots of them also in Batu Belig. And all the people in Bali are very friendly. On the downside, the comfort of the beds are not very good, but it's not a big problem. The villa can be highly recommended.

Thank you for the valued comments for villa Di Uma II and hope to seen soon in Bali again. We recently change the TV in a larger flat screen and have new TV operator with more international channels. When internet is slow in Bali it effecting all internet providers. But normally the internet at villa Di Uma is fast enough to use Skype and all other browsers.
