The Vila Lumbung is a really pleasant place to stay but it's not in the main Seminyak area and a bit of a walk from the beach. We cut through the W Hotel to get to the beach (now that did look nice)!

You can walk into Seminyak in about 30-40 minutes or take a taxi. We found taxis charges us about 50000 Rupiah to get back to the hotel late at night.

The huge reception area was a welcoming space and the staff were very friendly.

Our room was at the block at the back of the resort and the entrance wasy wasn't that appealing, felt like we were using the cleaners entrance! There is free and quite fast wifi throughout the resort though you need to keep logging in.

The pool was really nicely designed with bridges and abig waterfall splash pool and jacuzzi. The water was cool to enjoy bathing in. There are plenty of sun loungers around the pool and a small hut giving out beach towels.

I enjoyed the breakfast buffet and the serve until 11am which is great when on holiday! Didn't try the spa but the prices, though above the local street, seemd OK for a hotel.

The main road outside the resort has a few restaurants, spas and convenience stores but is far enough away so the traffic cannot be heard.

I didn't think the room cleaning standard was that high, a couple of extra hairs that weren't ours! Did get a few mosquito bites whilst staying here but there isn't much they can do about that.

There is a gym but it is a pathetic excuse for a gym with 4 very old and run down pieces of equipment, they would be better off just getting rid of is as it is a bit of an embarrassment.

This is a nice place to stay if you want to get away from it all and don't mind being a bit out of town.

Room Tip: The villas seemd nicer but didn't get to see inside.

Hotel Lumbung is a nice place to stay although there are a few things that could be perfected. The shower in our room was a mere stream of water and the games/ gym room lacked correct equipment. Although the hotel is very clean with friendly staff and the pool is beautiful.

A great haven to retreat to after a busy day.The staff were absolutely fantastic people, it is located within walking distance or a small taksi fare ($2) to many great restaurants and beach clubs. The breakfast spread keeps you going for the most of the day and the rest of the menu is also good..Great money changer within 30 metres of the gate and many convenience stores within 5 min walk. The property is not brand new, but the bungalows are in the traditional lumbung (rice storage shed) style, and have a charm of their own. They have all the facilities you could want for and are presented in a clean and tidy fashion, the out door bathroom is great. There are some mosquitoes that they are spraying regularly, but that problem is not restricted to this property. We had a great time hanging out by the pool and would recommend.

Room Tip: The downstairs bungalows with outdoor bathrooms are a treat

I was there for a week with my family. it was magic. the only thing i can remark is the proximity of the single bed room with the neighborhood. Sometime you have noise from them. The location is excellent.

Once again we returned to our favourite Hotel in Bali for a relaxing time. We always stay in one of the Deluxe Upstairs Villa where we enjoy a very spacious room in traditional Balinese style decor. The staff are very friendly and almost like family now and one of the reasons we love to return there year after year. The resort is quiet but still close to all the restaurants of Seminyak and surrounding areas. There are a number of restaurants in the immediate vicinity and worthwhile exploring. The Hotel itself also offers good meals and the ambience is lovely as the restaurant opens up towards the pool area. I can only recommend this Hotel to individuals and families.

Room Tip: Upstairs Deluxe Villa is our preference because they are so spacious and lovely decor. The villas towards the end of the resort are quieter. The ones near the pool area offer a lovely outlook but may be a bit more noisy, usually just people in the pool having fun.
