“Paradise at your doorstep”
Reviewed 11 December 2013

We had a lovely stay at villa Uma Sapna, with our very own private spa pool and spacious room.
The whole room had beautiful decor and was very clean, the size of the bath was huge. The garden area was luscious and well maintained.

We arranged airport pick up due to our late flight and it was nice being greeted with cool water and refreshing towels. The service was very good by the staff and would recommend this to anyone seeking a relaxing and pleasant stay

Room Tip: Worth getting the private spa pool

Stayed for 4 nights in late November 2013. Lovely villa with friendly staff. Had a great breakfast every morning in the privacy of our courtyard. Staff was happy to book restaurants for us. We had a early morning start (4am) one day and the staff left us pastries and juices for breakfast the previous night,
Take the short-cut lane ways to shops and restarants, Short walk to Mamasan Restaurant.
Well recommended

Room Tip: Convenient and private

This is a fabulous place to stay, a hidden away gem and affordable luxury. We were lucky enough to be upgraded when we arrived, to a 2 bedroom Villa with private pool so we felt spoiled. This villa would be a fantastic choice for 2 couples or a family as it is very spacious and room to cook and eat in style. The service is excellent.
By the way this villa is very hard to find as the sign is not visible, so my tip is look for number 10 Jl Drupani as it is near there in a small laneway

I had a very enjoyable stay at Uma Sapna. It is a cosy little haven but not too far away from all the actions in Seminyak. Wonderful and very helpful staffs. During the time of my stay, it was extremely hot and humid. Thanks God!!...I had chosen Uma Sapna. The bathroom in my villa is totally enclosed...no open air bath or shower. So it had air conditioning which I needed desperately after a long hot day in Seminyak. However, I can't give it a five stars because of one little disappointment. The driver/guide, whom I hired for a half day tour at the hotel, wasn't so good. What he did is to drop my husband and I off at each entrance of the sightseeing places and pick us up at a specific time. He didn't guide us and talk to us about the history of the places. This wasn't what I expected for the half day tour. When compared to the service of the driver I hired in Ubud, the driver at Uma Sapna lacked the professionalism. Apart from this incidence, my overall experience was still pleasant.

First time in Bali, decided to go with Uma Sapna and was not disappointed. The villa is amazing, clean and spacious. Only turn off is that we got the villa next to another 3 storey property.

Service was top notch, breakfast is alright with much variety. I basically spend the day basking under the sun in the villa and relaxing. It really makes you don't wanna leave the place. Prices for the spa is not too expensive and service was excellent. The main street is a mere 5 - 10 minutes stroll with lots of restaurant and boutique choices. It will be a lil far away from the beach but with taxi or motor rentals you can get anywhere easily.

One thing to note is it could be difficult to notice as they do not have a big sign board. Our driver couldn't find it and drove past it. We had to use our phones to locate the place.

Will definitely recommend this place to other travelers looking for a quiet place to stay.

Having been to Bali over 20 times, and stayed in Seminyak probably 10 times we have plenty of experience of what to expect in this area. We stayed in the Executive Villa for 2 weeks. I would say that the villa and private pool that we had in this hotel would cost at least twice as much in most other hotels in this area. We asked for a villa with "maximal sun exposure" to ensure that we could make the most of our relaxing holiday in the sun, and the hotel staff accommodated this without any trouble at all. Room and bathroom is nice and big, bed is comfortable and breakfasts were great. My only slight fault was with the air conditioner which did seem to struggle to keep the large villa cool during the heat of the day, which carried through into the night. But that could equally be blamed on us asking for lots of sun, so really not a big issue and not enough to reduce this from my 5 star rating.

In terms of location, it may not be on a main road, but it is literally a 2 minute walk to get to the main restaurant strip and a 10 minute walk to the beach.

Would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back!

Room Tip: Villa Menjangan was our villa and had a big pool and heaps of sun if that's what you are after...
