“Great value for money”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 November 2010

The Mutiara-I missed it as soon as we boarded the shuttle to go to the airport!! It's biggest asset is it's staff. They are relaxed, friendly and always smile particularly Sucita and Suraya.Breakfast was always lovely knowing we would see the smiling Sucita-nothing was too much trouble, a sweet man that left little titbits for the birds much to my 4 year olds delight.
Pool was idyllic surrounded by frangipani trees and a lumbung for quiet times. It is very family friendly with a shallow area in the pool and because it is an intimate hotel, very safe for children to wander about and wander my daughter did as she felt so comfortable. If you love food, it is a perfect location behind Jalan Laksmana and the fantastic Ultimo restaurant. You still get the feeling you are close to locals but without the hassle as a kampong is next door to the back of the rooms. I liked to hear the chatter and the rooster crowing in the morning in our outdoor bathroom.I have been to Bali 7 times and want to book this again. We made a lot of friends which was an unexpected and delightful.Due to the smallness of the resort, it encourages contact and most people staying there are well travelled and interesting people.

I stayed @ Mutiara Bali Resort along with my wife from 17-21 October 2010 (4 nights). We had great time and wonderful moments in the resort. We stayed in one of its superior room on the 1st floor. We booked the resort through laterooms.com and read few reviews about the resort before booking it. I found most of the reviews quite positive which influenced me to book the resort .

Rocked up to Bali without a booking and landed at Bali Mutiara for the first couple of nights in Seminyak. Guess we landed on our feet, this hotel looks beautiful, has all the feel of a boutique, 5* hotel in aesthetics, service and setting. Rooms are a little more basic than the 5* setting but only as befits the price. We loved staying here. Staff are fantastic and it became the benchmark for the rest of our trip (no others matched up for the price range!). Check yourself in and enjoy.

Location fairly central in Seminyak. Only a 5 minute walk to beach, body works, Ku de tah etc . 2 minute walk to main restaurant drag.
Rooms large and clean. TV only in Indonesian except MTV. Only stayed at this type of "larger" hotel as we travelling with my older mother, usually prefer smaller more personal establishments. But good choice on a budget.

The hotel is quite nice...but lack a lot of charm and you can feel it from the reception! We don't really feel the Bali spirit there.
The bedroom is spacious, modern and clean, bed is comfortable, but I would have expected something with more glamour, loveliness. The semi outdoor bathroom (ground floor room) is cool but way too big compared to the rest of the room.
Breakfast is average, once again, the terrasse on which you have it is too modern and does not reflect the spirit that you can get in same categories hotels in Bali.
Ultra positive point is the swimming pool, very nice.
Good hotel, but don't put your Balinese style expactations too high for this one!

me, my partner and 2 of our close friends booked this hotel last minute for 3 nights at the end of our stay in bali. i scoured the internet for a long time to find this place and after seeing some good reviews we decided to book. we stayed in a 2 bedroom villa with a private pool and were surprised to find out we had a private trio of chefs who came and cooked us a fresh breakfast every morning! the rooms were IMMACULATE, the aircon was fantastic and the whole layout of the place was gorgeous. everything is made from marble so we felt very luxury! if only i knew about this hotel earlier i would have booked longer! the only thing id have to say that is even slightly negative is that the location is quite hidden! its sort of tucked behind shops and down random dirt roads but on the other hand that meant no noise at night! HIGHLY RECOMMEND. and thats coming from someone who's been to bali 13 times.

also - recommend the greek restaurant just down the road on the main stretch. amazing food.

We stayed in a private villa it had upstairs and downstairs with 2 bedrooms. We ended up there unexpectedly as we had booked at some others villas but on arrival they had booked out our 2 bedroom villa and could only offer us a 1 bedroom which was not adequate for 4 people. So we were offered these villas as an alternative. Anyway we were happy there it had its own pool lovely outdoor area and was clean well kept and quite. We had our breakfast delivered to us daily which was lovely. I must admit we didnt use any of the hotel as we were happily contained in our villa and had everything we needed, I did use the pre paid internet which was fine. This hotel is situated down laneways and is not easy to find. You need to walk for about 5 mins to get to the main road of seminyak. We had no issues as we had scooters which were great. I must say thankyou to the hotel transport for being so accomodating by driving me and my bridesmaids to my wedding venue in Seminyak !! That was a nice bonus. Overall we had a very pleasant stay the villas were a dream and staff were great when we needed them.
