We had always wanted to visit Bali and we finally did last year. This place is indeed a paradise on earth. Me and my husbanded enjoyed our stay there. We loved everything there. The service, the facilities, the location. We wished we could stay there forever and not coming back to the U.S..

My Husband and I spent 8 fantastic nights and 7 wonderful days at The Samaya Bali.

Often you arrive and what you think you have booked does not live up to expectations, however this time every detail and service provide exceeded our expectations.
The staff were friendly, taking great pride in the work, which showed every where, they could not have been more helpful. The little touches of remembering your name is nice.

The food was fabulous - Breakfast the menu is varied and is probably the best we have had - Then add the view of the surf - warm days - dinner with a soft breeze etc.... What more do you want.

The accommodation: Our Royal Orchid Villa was large with it's own 22ft pool, outdoor area to relax, King size bed, The only problem is we came home so spoiled we are looking for a new bed and bed linen.

The location for us was central and not a problem especially as we were dropped off and picked up from the restaurant off our choice each night by the hotel.

They are rebuilding the villas near the beach and up grading the restaurant - once finished I anticipate getting a booking will be tight.

I have been visiting Samaya Seminyak and Samaya Ubud in Bali in March 2011 and I can say that are the best resorts in Bali.If you want to find high standard services and luxury villas during your stay in Bali, choose those resorts and you will not regret.During my infotrip in Bali I have visited almost all 4-5 star resorts in Bali and those resorts are by far the best in Bali.

Even whilst subject to exciting and inspired alterations to the beach front Villas this home from home ticked all the boxes. Understated class, unobtrusive genuine personal service, brilliant food and all in fabulous surroundings. Not too big to lose the intimate feel but discreet to allow for total relaxation. Luxurious pool villas, the best breakfast on the beach and all within walking distance to sophisticated bars reastaurants and shops. Absolutely not Kuta and absolutely certain quality. Quietly better than the rest. Ray and his team will do all they can to make it perfect for you and the little touches will make you remeber this place. The rooms are fresh modern and luxurious, the bathrooms pleasurably large. Walking distance along the beach or road to fine dining, chic cocktails or local warungs.

I've recently returned from an incredible weekend at the Samaya. I knew that this was going to be something special when we arrived at the airport and were met off the plane by a representative sent by the hotel and who sped us through airport security like VIPs. Our driver was waiting for us with cold towels and water, so refreshing after the flight, and when shortly later we arrived at the hotel we were greeted with garlands of fresh flowers, and a welcome drink during our in-room check-in. Our Royal Courtyard villa was set just across the road from the main entrance. I had been slightly worried about this after reading some of the reviews on TripAdvisor but it literally was just across the road, only a 2 minute walk at most and buggys were always on standby to whisk us door to door in merely seconds. The villa itself was absolutely stunning. I've stayed in a lot of 5 star hotels, but this was something else, in another league entirely. The villa was exquisitely appointed with the most enormous bed I've ever seen, dressing room, spacious bathroom with double shower and jacuzzi, in both of which we could watch a conveniently placed television, and a separate toilet. Absolutely everything had been thought of, after sun lotion in the bathroom, mosquito repellent in the dressing room and a complimentary mini bar - a refreshing change from most 5 star hotels! The icing on the cake was our private garden and infinity pool. I had been expecting a plunge pool at best, but this was long enough to do a few lazy laps in and had a wonderfully musical water feature that was so relaxing. There was also a gazebo with table and day bed which would have been the perfect setting for a private in-villa breakfast or dinner. The rest of the resort was just as wonderful, we spent most of our time in the beachfront part of the resort, apparently it was undergoing some renovation, but it never disturbed our experience at all. Meals we had in the Breeze restaurant, just on the beach with yummy a la carte breakfasts and fine dining dinners. We also indulged in the complimentary daily afternoon tea and were pleasantly surprised to be unexpectedly served complimentary afternoon 'refreshment' of fresh fruit salad at our sun loungers on another occasion. The thing that really made this resort stand out from others for me was the level of service that we received from all of the staff at the Samaya. A personal butler was allocated to our villa and we could call him for anything we needed, all the staff in the resort seemed to know us by name from our first day, and nothing was too much trouble. Whilst sitting on the beach our ice water would be discreetly replaced before we'd even finished it, just as soon as the ice had melted, and this is also the only place that I've ever stayed where even the security guards would smile at us when we passed! I'm slightly ashamed to say that in the two days that we had the pleasure of staying at the Samaya we didn't venture more than 200 metres from the resort, but to be honest, when you're staying in such a little piece of luxury, it's hard to tear yourself away! It was so hard to leave at the end of our weekend and I only wish we could have stayed for longer, I will most definitely be returning as soon as I possibly can, I can't recommend this place enough!
