Me and my partner paid Urchin a visit because they got great reviews from tripadvisor and they were right. The crispy pork was out of this world. My partner ordered the fish (was it sea bass i forgot) and it was good too. The bomb was the salmon entree (again I forgot the name but the fish was diced and seasoned, placed in three tiny crispy cones). My boyfriend almost ordered a second!
The chef which was also the owner, the British Australian chef, chatte to us and he was very kind and communicative about his menu and restaurant. Open kitchen was also unique, entertaining us while waiting for the meals to arrive.
All of the guests were Westerner tourists, we were literally the only locals in the place! But if you grew up outside Indonesia and miss a little gourmet, nicely cooked, with decent price, Urchin is the place to be. Our bill came up to be around usd60 or 800k rupiahs, which for the quality of the food,was very decently priced.
Make your reservation first as it gets crowded during dinner time.
