We have just returned from 7 night staying at Umalas Retreat Villa I. What a wonderful time we had from start to finish. Kay was an absolute delight to deal with, she made our booking so easy and was always on hand to offer advise and assistance before we even arrived. The Villa is absolutely gorgeous & is beautifully decorated with such a tranquil feel about it. We especially loved having our own private pool. The villa is such a great size with plenty of amenities and gave us the chance to relax.
Out so children loved the pool toys and the chests of toys in their bedroom.
We were greeted upon arrival by Heni who was to be our chef/housekeeper for the next week. She was absolutely wonderful in every way. She was so friendly, helpful & cooked the most delicious food for us during our stay. Our two young children warmed to Heni straight away & would ask to see her as soon as they woke up. We were sad to say goodbye.
We have fallen in love with Bali and Umalas is a fab place to stay. We would highly recommend Umalas Retreat for a little bit of paradise. Thankyou to Kay & Heni for making our stay so memorable.

I was lucky enough to stay in villa 1. The villa was beautiful with lovely decor and home furnishings. The villa was very clean, well maintained and very secure with security staff which is very important to me.
Heni looked after us three girls in villa 1. Nothing was too much trouble for her, not only did she arrive every morning with hot cappuccinos and French pastries from the local Monsieur spoon cafe, she would also cook us a delicious breakfast, which would include fresh fruit, banana pancakes, chicken porridge, noodles just to name a few of the menu options from the guest menu book. We also decided to eat dinner in the villa a couple of nights to enjoy Heni's cooking, we had delicious basil chicken and pad Thai noodles. Heni is always smiling, happy and there to help with any requests.
Villa 1, was beautiful and I was also lucky enough to meet Kay the owner, she also showed me through villa 2 which was beautiful. Kay was very attentive with any questions I had about the villa and local area. I would highly recommend Umalas Retreat.
I can't wait to come back!
