Perfect location for relaxing by the beach, in beautiful surrounds, and eating beautiful home-cooked food. We stayed in Luxury bungalow number 4 and loved waking up to the most beautiful sunrise visible from our window. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and we thoroughly enjoyed the massages they organised for us and the day trip to visit the pink dolphins, the fish bar, and the local market. The weather at this time of year was perfect, even though we were prepared for the chance of rain. We hope that this area of Thailand remains as untouched and serene as what we found it to be.

Room Tip: I'd definitely get a room with an ocean view!!

We wanted to go somewhere quite, with a beach and unspoilt scenery. Thankfully, Khanom Hill Resort ticked all those boxes and more. It is run by a very friendly and helpful family who offered us advice, took us to a traditional Thai market: the owner bought a variety of breakfast foods and we ate together under a market marquee.
In terms of the facilities, the room was spacious, clean and offered beautiful views of the surrounding forest. The restaurant overlooked the quiet, sandy beach and the food was not only cheap, but delicious.
Aside from the market, there are a series of waterfalls nearby, a dolphin spotting excursion, Khanom harbour and scenic forest walks. If you want to relax, they provide massages, 2 swimming pools, a Jacuzzi and of course, the unspoilt and almost private-like beach.

I am a musician, and whenever I go abroad, I compile video footage of my holiday to my music. In this link, Khanom is featured during the bike scene; sea and beach; market (at the end)

We stayed at Khanom Hill Resort in august for 13 great nights. When we arrived at the hotel we immediately felt at home. From the friendly staff to the great weather and relaxed atmosphere, we enjoyed this place every day.

We had set off for Khanom in the hope of finding an unspoiled paradise where we could relax and do nothing but enjoy the weather, the beach and the surrounding environment. Needless to say, we were not disappointed. Khanom Hill Resort is situated in the best part of the large (yet deserted) beach in the small town of Nai Plao. This means clean water and a nice and sandy beach. Furthermore the hotel has a small “private” beach which is rarely visited by more than two people at the time. We preferred this as it provided the perfect “tropical island” atmosphere that we were looking for and most of the time we had it to ourselves. The hotel provides beach chairs on both beaches.

We stayed in a “Pool Villa” which is located on the “land side” of a small road, dividing the resort into two. The additional 10 meters to the sea meant nothing and the rather large and clean rooms compensated for the additional distance. Our choice of room also meant direct access to the Jacuzzi, which provided for some nice relaxation in the late afternoon. The beds were big and could even contain me with my 2+ meters :-)

If you want to explore the hotel offers trips to the local market(s) of Khanom, as well as other trips handled by a third party. Furthermore the Hotel provides a small Walk-to/Drive-to guide to the surrounding area.

The restaurant offers a wide variety of Thai dishes as well as a smaller selection of international food. The food is fresh and tastes great and we never left hungry.

To everyone looking for a perfect place to relax, absent noise and beach merchants this is the place for you.

We were really treated good by Thum, Tha and the rest of the staff. We had a very relaxing and joyful stay in apartment nr. 5, we even had our own private beach.
It was so beautiful to wake up and see the sun rise up over the sea every morning.
The very pleasant treatment, the food, the beach and all the charming places we went on the motor-bike.. it was all really great!

Room Tip: Apartment no. 5 is quiet, very spacey, has a really nice view and is located next to an almost priva...

A fantastic place to stay. Very nice and friendly staff, and a fantastic atmosphere and lovely food in the restaurant. Very nice bungalows and a beautiful beach. A must-be-place if you are in Khanom-district. Not to far from Koh Samui by speedboat either.....

In june we decided to stay at khanom hill ressort because of a friends reference. The service was excellent and all employees are really kind. It's perfect to enjoy the beautiful landscape. Our pool villa was very clean and we just had to cross one street to go to the beach.

Originally we were just looking for a place to stay before we can go to Koh Samui after landing in Suratthani airport (45min drive). But then after seeing these reviews and their website we thank god decided to stay for 3 nights.

This place is just lovely - the food is among the best we've ever had in Thailand - they staff is very very helpful - and Dagmar is always there to give you recommendations. The beach is empty, long and great and you can easily spend a week here. You can even see the pink dolphins here - we saw a huge one just 100m from the beach.

If you are up for relaxing this is a perfect place - if you look for nightlife then go somewhere else ;-)

I fully recommend this place - it is marvellous!

Room Tip: With kids go for the ones near the pool
