We stayed three days at the Mansion Tokyo hotel. The room we had was small but with good ceiling height. There were both air conditioning and a fan, and some western television channels. The furnishings are simple but ok considering the price of the room. However, the bathroom is very small.

Most of the people working at the hotel are very nice and will try to help you, but very few english is spoken.

Unfortunately, there are also several problems: first, the walls overlooking the corridors of some rooms are perforated at the top, so you hear all the noise from these rooms, including television, even when like ours, the room does not have a wall of this style. Then the window overlooking the outdoor uses as many windows in Thailand, a louver system that can be opened or closed by turning a crank: This system was broken and it was impossible to close the window. Between the noise from neighboring rooms - TV until 2 or 3 hours in the morning - and the noise from the adjacent building or street, we slept very badly. Then we had big problems with the internet connection: very fast when it works, it disconnects ALL TIME, sometimes a few seconds, often several minutes and even several hours. We contacted the home without obtaining improvement.

In regard to the quality of the reception and modest price we give three stars to the Tokyo Mansion, but two and a half or even two stars could be more accurate considering that the noise and Internet problems forced us to leave the hotel.

Room Tip: Take care about "opened" rooms and noisy TV.

We paid 350B for a room with two queen sized beds, a fan, tv and attached toilet (western-style) with hot water shower.

The hotel doesn't have much character, but the room was perfectly adequate and we thought it was good value for Thailand. The staff were perfectly friendly and polite too.

It is located just around the corner from the central bus station in Nakhon Ratchasima (aka Khorat) (not the main bus station which is located out of town) and so is ideally situated for catching an early morning bus into Bangkok.

I don't believe that the hotel has a restaurant, but there are plenty of street stalls in the area, a couple of 7-Elevens and, I believe, an English-style pub, although we didn't go in to try it out.
